Super tolles Ferienhaus in dem nichts fehlt. Küche mehr als komplett eingerichtet, mehr als ausreichende Handtücher, ein schöner Wintergarten. Ein erfrischender Pool und auf der Sonneseite von Madeira.

This was our second visit to Madeira, and it will not be the last. We have rented many cottages over the years, in different parts of Europe. Lavender Cottage was no doubt the best so far. It is very well equipped, the host, Heather, has thought of everything. This summer was quite hot, but the cottage felt very cool and airy, even without air conditioning. Very good ceiling fans in the bedrooms. Marvellous views over the ocean, great barbecue area. We will hopefully be back soon. On the day of departure, our flight was quite late in the afternoon. Heather was very flexible and let us stay as long as we wanted. She also provided us with tips about Lisbon, since we were spending a day there on our way home.

Heather and her family were really welcoming and gave plenty of tips and advice on how to maximise our short week on the island. She certainly goes the extra mile. Thank you, Heather! The house had everything you would need - and more - the facilities were excellent. This was our first Christmas abroad as a family, and I don't think it'll be the last with great accommodation like this. There was plenty of space for our grown up family to have chill time and to come together over a movie and dinner too. A great location for exploring, with all of the island covered, and not limited to Funchal. I would definitely recommend this to our friends.

Just far enough away from the bustle of Funchal, but great to be so close to those amazing views, and stunning scenery! I have the distinct feeling that this wont be the last visit to see you lol! My husband and I, along with another couple, stayed here for one week in January 2013, after spending a week in Funchal. We had a great time - the cottage has a spectacular view over the ocean, is spacious enough for 4 people and is very well equipped. Heather, the owner, was very helpful and made sure that we had everything we needed. It is very well located in terms of visiting all the far corners of the island. You will need a car and you must not be put off by the steep road to get to the cottage. It is well worth it! There is a small shop nearby for essential but we would suggest that you visit a larger supermarket for basics. Heather has good recommendations for restaurants if you want to eat out. We loved our week at Lavender Cottage. Very relaxing place after coming back from a day out touring.
