We were already for the second time in the CasaCades and even in autumn it is still just wonderful and there are not so many tourists on the island. The accommodation offers everything you can do even in bad weather. However, this has not happened so far. The magnificent view and the absolute tranquility is just wonderful! The equipment is also very good and the space is more than adequate. We’ll try to come back sometime. Thanks to Ian and Roseann and best regards to Madeira

Maderia is exquisite and so is Cascades. The setting is stunning with sea views and beautiful gardens. Inside is spacious and comfortable and wel kept with lovely decor . The outdoor seating areas are fantastic. This accomodation is exemplary and I can't recommend it highly enough

A somewhat hidden property just 200m away from the best Tiki bar on the island. The property has an amazing view on the ocean and on the mountains behind it. The pool table and the darts in the garage was perfect when the weather turned bad. A good size supermarket is a 6min drive away on Calheta beach so we didn't have any issues with getting supplies for the stay

Villa CasaCades is one among the best spots we've stayed in Madeira. It's situated in a quiet area close to Calheta, and has a beautiful view on the ocean and cliffs from the terrace. This is where we spent most of our time at the villa (regardless of the weather), so the fact that the villa itself could use some refreshment wasn't a big issue. We'll certainly be coming back if we have a chance.

We spent a week in this beautiful big house in Calheta and I definitely can recommend this place to stay in Madeira not only for big companies but for couples too (like us) - the locations of villa and it’s magnetic view over the ocean makes it a perfect romantic and peaceful place. It’s close to the main active tourism locations and also 5 minutes drive from Calheta sandy beach where you can also swim in the ocean - the water is nice!! The house has a lot of TV channels, a pool table, tennis, and a barbecue place!! Also there are just everything that you might need in a kitchen if you want to cook at home. Ian is a great host and though we communicated only online, he was always ready to help us with anything. The only downside I found about the villa is that some days we were awakened at night by the neighbors dogs barking loud and neighbors aren’t doing a thing about this. Also there were no washing powder so we had to buy it. However, it was a great experience! If you go to Madeira, do not hesitate to choose this house, you will not regret it.

We enjoyed an amazing month long stay in Ian’s villa. The house is enormous and well equipped with everything you could need. There was fast and reliable internet and the villa is situated in a part of the island that gets sun most of the day. You’ll need a car to get around but there are supermarkets a short drive away and a tiki bar within walking distance. Special shout out to gardener Tiago who was very helpful throughout our stay. Definitely recommend this spot!

We stayed for just over two weeks and experienced every type of weather the island had to offer while we were in Madeira! The villa was the perfect set up for this though. Sun loungers, a small orchard and outside seating areas for the warmer times, while there was a pool table, dart board, ping pong and smart TV for those times the weather was not as kind. The villa itself is very spacious and charming, was spottless on arrival and well equipped. For times we cooked at the villa we found there was everything that we needed and more. There was ample linen, towels and all the cleaning items you may want. Location wise the villa is in a really good spot. It's in a very peaceful area with perfect sea views. A very short walk away is the tiki rum bar which is well worth a visit. While travelling around the island is easy enough due to its size, we found the villa was in the perfect position to visit all the places we wanted to. The hosts were great and provided us with a lot of tips on places to go and things to do. There was a guest manual available when we arrived which has really good info and also recommends restaurants/cafes/bars around the island. This was really useful and we referred to it a lot! It was nice knowing that Rose was on hand should we had needed anything. Seeing the sunset from the villas terrace was one of the most beautiful things I have seen, the colours were amazing. We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Cades and will definitely be back! Thank you Karen and Ian.

A fabulous recent stay at CasaCades, the villa was in a great location for short drives - we explored Calheta Beach and Porto Moniz. We found the villa was really well equipped, spacious, and very clean and the veranda was a perfect place to relax with a good book whilst overlooking the ocean! Enjoyed using the pool table too, many thanks to Ian for his detailed correspondence in the lead up to our much needed holiday.

This has been our 6th stay at Villa Casa Cades since 2012. Again, we have been fully satisfied by the excellent conditions inside and outside of the house. The view from the big terrace is amazing at day and also at night. The rooms are very good equipped representing an elegant style of dedicated culture with a lot of additional space. Everything is very clean and lovely decorated. All you would need for an easy stay is available, high speed Wi-Fi included. The contact to the owner and to the people who take care for the villa was again very enjoyable and friendly. The house is located in a beautiful and very quiet garden area. Bars, supermarkets, hiking pathes and even a beach are only few minutes by car away. Even in the case of not perfect weather, you are perfectly located in the villa enjoying the view and the beautiful surroundings or reading an interesting book of the collection of the owner.

This was our first visit to the island. We were a family of five adults, who love outdoor activity, particularly walking. and we were completely enchanted by it. We had hired a car and this turned out to be very important as it enabled us to get to a wider selection of walks and see more of the island. We used it everyday despite it being such a nerve wracking experience to drive on the 'wrong side' of the road and up such precipitous roads and tight bends :) We followed a book by Sheila and Mike Whitehead and did no less than eight walks in astonishing gorges, levadas and tunnels.. oh and a heat exhausting climb up the cliff from Paul do Mar as we had done the walk the wrong way round!! The villa exceeded our expectations too. We found it beautifully clean and spacious, well appointed and comfortable. The veranda was an absolute delight at the beginning and end of the day. I loved the flowers framing the railings and often just gazed out into the wide blue space of sea and sky delightedly. The hammock was much used (although one member of the party managed to fall out of it whilst endeavouring to clamber in!). We ate all our meals at the table outside. Such a joy. I cooked most days, and managed fine with the kitchen. Very glad there was a pair of weighing scales and mixing bowls. Discovered I could still mix cakes and batter with a wooden spoon rather than a mixer. Proud of myself :) The games room was a great success and used every day while I got the tea ready. Various TT and pool tournaments took place with variable rules and success. Never got round to using the darts board. Calheta beach nearby was lovely to swim in and we hired parasols and sunbeds as it was so hot. There were also football and basket ball courts on the sand which was a great idea. We heartily recommend both the villa and the locality as a wonderful, relaxing holiday on an enchanting island.
