The Villa was more than we could have wished. It was clean, modern, plenty of space, great views and plenty of sunshine, fully equiped with sunloungers, outside seating and dining, with great large sun umbrellas that were very easy to position for the best shade on those very hot days. Access to the local shop, cafe and recycling were easy, with Calheta it self only a 5 min journey by car, for restaurants, bars, sandy beaches and sea excursions plus access to the main routes.. The area was quiet with very little traffic, although you could hear the odd dog, chicken and of course the bakery van (van around 9am). On arrival we found Milk, butter, bread rolls, sliced ham/cheese and water, with all toilets having toilet rolls provided to start us off. Dallia met us on arrival and showed us around the Villa, how everything operated and where the local facilities could be found. Things to note: the down stairs bedroom only looks over the carport, no views, but large and well equiped. A car is a must, unless you plan to taxi or walk everywhere. The road outside the Villa is narrow and steep, so be careful when pulling out of the drive especially if you're not use to an electronic handbrake(don't ask) We would probably get the swimming pool heated up next time at this time of year We had a really great time at the Villa and would certainly consider going back there again.

Stayed in the villa for two weeks and found it to be absolutely brilliant. Spacious with three good double bedrooms, large kitchen and lounge. Outside there are plenty of loungers and seating. Due to the location there is a need for a car unless you want to walk uphill. Small restaurants and supermarkets nearby if you don't want to travel. You must go to Funchal, take the chair lift to Monte and come down by toboggan. Food and drink is exceptionally cheap everywhere on the island and better still its fresh and delicious. Overall this is a great place to stay. Thank you so much to the Housekeeper, Dalila, who gave us so much additional information and keeps the villa spotlessly clean.

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful well appointed villa near Calheta. All is like you see on the pictures of the broker. The views are magic, the internet works fine , the kitchen has everything you need and the area is very convenient. The pool heating came in very handy too Too things we would like to remark : the one bedroom downstairs has no view and is quite usual including really hard matrasses. It would be really helpful if the owner decided to leave a few things like salt , olive oil , dishwasher and especially toilet paper in the house. This avoids hassle and is no real substantial extra cost, also soap should be a no brainer! We would come back and can recommend!

Great stay. Amazing house. Everything was just as expected from the photos & was not disappointed to have gone ahead with the choice. Location is quite remote so you either need to be happy to stay in, hire a car or have a taxi. Lovely cafe at top of the hill and left, great service and friendly. Pool heating was appreciated! Only negative was being charged for towels which I was advised couldn’t be cleaned and not being provided any confirmation/reciepts to justify. If we hadn’t had towelgate I definitely would have returned.

Au calme, cette maison est un petit coin de paradis. Rien à redire, la location a été facile, pratique. C'est parfait pour les familles.

Es war eine tolle Woche in einem perfekten Haus. Es war alles da was man braucht. Morgens gegen 8:10 fuhr täglich der Bäckefwagen vorbei. Der Pool was fantastisch wenn auch nicht immer warm genug. Tolle Gegend um die Insel zu erkunden.

Our second stay in this villa and it definitely won't be the last. It is modern, spotlessly clean very spacious with 3 ensuite bedrooms that are all a good size. The outside area is lovely with fantastic sea views and a pool that I never wanted to get out of. The wine bread and cheese waiting for us when we got there was very much appreciated especially as we'd got there very late having not eaten. All in all it's a beautiful villa in a fantastic location

The villa has all you need with a very effective management team. Spacious with modern comfortable facilities and very clean. The sun is on the pool and sunbed area overlooking the sea (someway off). The kitchen is well equipped and love the induction hob. Pool temperature was fantastic if you use the cover(needs replacing) at night. My negatives would be. You will need good driving skills as the villa is on a VERY steep hill like the rest in Madeira. Considering the quality of the villa I think the bedding should be 100% cotton and the villa should be fully tested prior the arrival as there were some minor issues that required attention. However, I throrogly recommend and will book again. The main coast road is not far away and very easy transfer from the airport so do not be put of by the maps. We found the area to be the sunniest on the island. Shopping in main Calheta is just down the road. It is a quiet location and with only 2 local bars. But D'alma wine bar is the best by far and very romatic watching the sunset with a very high quality wine.

Where do I start! Madeira is a majestic island and this house is a quiet, clean, spacious and calming place. it was great to have three bedrooms with their own private ensuites. It made our guests feel comfortable and gave them plenty of privacy. The salt water pool and the grounds were well kept and the cleaning staff were very flexible to meet our schedule. What we loved was drinking our coffee every morning in the beautiful ocean view outdoors which we never got tired of. You can’t hear the noise of the streets as the house is in a very peaceful area. The house is conveniently located a short drive from a well stocked supermarket and a pleasant walk away to the town square. The whole place made us feel disconnected from the busy city we came from. Norberta was very nice, easy to talk to from the day I booked and was very responsive when we needed anything. We fell in love with Madeira and we will definitely be coming back again!

Nous avons loué cette villa début septembre pour 10 jours. Très bien située sur les hauteurs de Calheta. Rien à redire en ce qui concerne l'accueil et la propreté du lieu, l'ameublement est de qualité, aussi bien à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur. La literie peut être un peu dure pour certains. Nous étions 4 adultes. Il y a 3 chambres, nous avons voulu utilisé la troisième chambre qui se trouve au rez-de-chaussée, mais il y avait une forte odeur d'humidité dans celle-ci. Nous avons aéré cette chambre toutes les journées afin de faire disparaître cette odeur, rien n'y fit, on nous a dit que ce sont les anciens occupants qui on mit la clim durant tout leur séjour... Je pense qu'il n'y a pas que cela. Donc si vous êtes 2 couples, vous pouvez utiliser les deux chambres du haut sans problèmes par contre celle du bas ça sera très compliqué. C'est le seul point négatif de cette villa, mais il me semble important d'en parler, car vu le prix de la location, on est en mesure d'exiger que cette chambre soit pleinement utilisable.
