The home was lovely. I especially enjoyed the screened in porch. The beach is a short golf cart ride away and the neighborhood was ideal for dog walking. I would definitely stay at this property again. Thanks for sharing your home with us, Tina!

Our family had a great time in a house that suited our family of 5. The host was responsive and the neighborhood and beach were fantastic. We will definitely becoming back again.

Emerald Isle is wonderful and Sandy Paws was very nice. Loved both the screened-in porch and the front porch. Kitchen is huge compared to island condos. The hose under the carport was a big help with our dog. Community is lovely and safe- even for late night strolls. Paths are great to run, walk, & bike. Nice proximity to grocery and pizza places. 😊 Golf cart is a huge help getting to the pool & beach. Beach was more crowded than expected- compared to Pine Knoll Shores- but no problems finding a spot.

Our family had a great week at the beach and enjoying Emerald Isle using Tina’s home as our home base. Our dog felt at home too and loved going to the beach. Pool was a hit for the kiddos.

Just as advertised! Great location, easy golf cart right to the beach or pool, great neighborhood to walk - you may even see a few turtles to feed or see deer while on your walk, dog friendly.

Owner is very responsive and works to communicate promptly and settle issues. This is much appreciated. The property is very dog friendly. Lots of puzzles and games; good tv and wi fi service. The property was fairly well equipped although the following would be very helpful: dishes to use in the microwave (Pyrex etc), mixing spoons, dustpan, beach chairs, working toaster, newer coffee pot with operable heat plate. The golf cart was inoperable (and filthy) when we arrived on Sunday. Owner rented us another one that was delivered on Tuesday. The house was surface clean but very dusty...all blinds were covered in dust, under beds and under furniture were very dusty. This property has great potential but definitely needs updating throughout. It does have a fairly hefty price and it’s a distance from the beach.

We used to be owners at Emerald Isle and this was our first time renting in over 20 years. We have been spoiled being able to bring our dogs over the years to the beach with us and were worried a “pet friendly” place might not be as nice as we might like. We ended the week feeling that this house was not only sweet and charming but it had everything we needed and more to make our time here with three dogs from 30 to 80 pounds easy, safe, and very very comfortable. The fenced yard configuration with the porches made it seamless getting them in and out safely. And the porches gave everyone, people feet included some space to shake off the sand before heading inside. The kitchen was well appointed. The beds were comfortable. And the neighborhood is perfect. Safer for families as there are no long through roads and the beach access with the golf cart make it very easy to be on the beach in minutes. We will rent again.
