We had a great experience staying in this cottage. Our group was 6 adults, which was the perfect fit. The location truly couldn't be better - right on the beach and in the middle of the island, so it was easy to go either toward Atlantic Beach and vicinity or the main area of Emerald Isle. This is an older cottage that has been thoughtfully updated. The spiral staircase would be difficult for older folks or anyone with mobility issues to navigate. As others have noted, the access to the pool requires going outside -- I didn't think that was an issue, but some may. Well stocked equipment in kitchen. Everything was clean. My only real complaints would be the towels were kind of gray -- formerly white towels that had been washed a million times and one of the downstairs bathrooms had an extremely small kind of dank shower. Overall, it was a great experience with an unbeatable location and I would stay here again.

We loved our first visit to Emerald Isle and the location of the house. Loves - Aaron, maintenance. The A/C was not working when we arrived I was disappointed this had not been reported to management. I called Aaron and we discussed how to handle. I told him to not worry, that we would just use the fans and open the windows. Aaron kept me constantly updated and offered to bring out portable A/C units. I declined. Busy Bee put in a new system on the third day. Dislikes - no call from management about the problem A/C. Yes, I spoke with Aaron but I would have expected a call from the office. A coupon for a discount on ice cream would have gone a long way those first couple of days.

Our host Joyce & her team were responsive & extremely helpful. The house was as advertised and we really enjoyed our stay ... so much so, we booked for next year already.

Pro: love the small ocean front homes, do not like the big houses taking over. Decorating of house was very nice. Location was perfect, nice big washer and dryer. Con: pool location, from first floor you have to go through the bedroom out the front door under the house to get to pool, from upstairs you have to go out the front door down stairs under house to get to pool, very inconvenient and with sand not good, safety of kids going in front of house without adult. Exterior doors could use updating especially door in bedroom going to pool. Windows without screens, bedrooms downstairs are very damp and cold not good for people with allergy. Downstairs shower very small, faucet in upstairs bathroom hard to turn, needs to be replaced.

Loved waking up to the sunrise right off the living room watch the sun cross the sky and ocean all day long and then watch the sunset at night. Charming home with plenty of room.

We had a great time! Place was right on the beach. It was too cool for us to use the pool but it looked beautiful. Our dog loved the ocean. Thanks for letting us stay!

Walk down the stairs and your toes are in the sand! There’s nothing like sitting on the back deck, covered part, during a thunderstorm or on a beautifully clear night and see the ocean right in front of you. The house was a great location for a wedding we were attending at Merrell Estates and still minutes to the main area of Emerald Isle. Mattress’s could use replacement but overall would stay again in a minute!

We are a family of six with one 10 month old puppy. This house was an amazing find. Spent the days playing on the beach with early mornings and late evenings on the decks enjoying the views. Great pool area which was ideal for those that seek less sun but enjoy the outdoors (son from Colorado) The pool is shaded but a fantastic add! Puppy loved the beach and was so happy to be with his family. Will definitely be back next year as it was everything we wanted!! Thank you!!
