We had a very enjoyable stay with a couple hiccups. We were expecting the patios to be furnished as was described in the ad and the welcome packet. We were sharing the house with another family, so my husband and I were looking forward to having a drink on our private balcony after the kids went to bed. It was part of the reason we booked the property and part of how we justified spending so much on a vacation home. When we arrived, we found the furniture in the garage and the patios empty. We inquired with the owner, and were told that they don't put the furniture out until May. This was incredibly disappointing given that we were led to believe it would be out, and at the price point, would have been nice to fully enjoy the house as we planned. The hosts were very gracious and responsive, but it still sticks as a point of disappointment. Also, unfortunately the provided beach carts were broken. There were ample beach chairs, beach towels, and beach toys for use, which was such a help! Unfortunately, the provided beach carts were broken. 1 was missing a wheel and the other didn't open fully. I am sure this will all get ironed out as they move closer to peak season.
Overall though, it was a beautiful house with ample space for both families (with a combined 9 kiddos)! The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies (pots, pans, crock pot, electric griddle, etc.). There were lots of games for all age levels (Scrabble, Candyland, Chutes and Ladders, Chess, Battleship, and more). It really was a huge help to have beach towels, chairs, and toys available and not have to pack those things! Also, for anyone with a baby, the closet in the upstairs master bedroom is massive and has plenty of space for a pack and play and to give the baby a private sleep area. The house is also ideally situated just a few mins walk from the beach. Overall, a great experience other than the patio furniture situation.
