Our 2nd time staying at Ravenala house was one of our best holidays in the Caribbean. The views from the outside terrace & sun deck over lower bay towards Port Elizabeth are stunning. The house has everything you would ever need or want. Ravenala has UK sockets throughout & a tricky drive up a rough track but worth every bump. The house manager Jal looks after you as soon as you arrive & is easily contactable throughout your stay using WhatsApp. Kerry the house keeper even did a few washes a week into our stay. Make sure you pack plenty of bug spray as the mosquitoes can be a nuisance. Book early as this house is very popular.

Ravenala is a lovely house with magnificent views. The covered outdoor terrace is spacious with a sitting/dining area. With that kind of outdoor space, you are only inside if you’re cooking or going to bed. During our time, there was a constant lovely breeze in the terrace area so it never felt hot. In the house, there’s AC in the bedrooms only. There were a few mosquitoes outside so make sure to bring repellent. For U.S. travelers: the villa has a big transformer with a power strip for 6 U.S. plugs in the living room. Jal is the helpful assistant manager who’ll take care of anything you might need (basic provisions, drivers license, car rental, etc…). You have to get a SUV if you plan to rent a vehicle while staying at Ravenala. The road is steep in some areas and unpaved (challenging) in other areas. The first drive was intimidating but we got the hang of it on day 2. Jal told us they’re hoping to get the road redone in the future. The closest beach is Lower Bay Beach. You could walk to it I guess but I don't think it's that close and that easy due to the road condition. We did ask Jal if there was a walking path vs the road we drove on and he said no. As I’ve said, this is a lovely house with gorgeous views. We enjoyed our stay very much. If we were to go back, we'd definitely stay there again.

Privacy without isolation. Absolutely stunning views. Everything you could need is at your fingertips and if it isn't it will be sourced - or perhaps you don't need it after all. My bedroom door opened onto poolside so I watched the sun rise between small mountains whilst lazily splashing around in paradise. The hosts are superb. Can't fault this place.

Ravenala did not disappoint. The house was very comfortable and more than adequately equipped. The house team, Jal, Quinn, Chinee and Kerry took very good care of my family, ensuring at all times that we were having a good time. Kerry and Chinee have what is known in Trini dialect as 'sweet hand'....two delicious meals were prepared for us. And Jal too can handle himself well in the kitchen. He cooked our first on our arrival and our last meal before we left. The beaches are fantastic. The people are very friendly. A special hail out to Rally, Michael and Tony who helped us out in our times of need.

We had 2 couples that went for Thanksgiving week. What an amazing stay. You could sit for days on that veranda and just gaze out over the water. Everything is top notch to say the least. Tim and Anne are first class as well and all around great people, we enjoyed being able to spend a little time with them. We actually cook a fair amount while there. Tim added a gas grill out on the veranda which was great for dinners. The pool is perfect to cool down, have a cocktail and watch the boats below. We would go back there in a second. I could go on and on. If you are seriously thinking about go to Bequia you should absolutely 100% stay here if possible. Thank you Tim and Anne for great time and the fond memories. PS, make sure you get some of Tim's bread!

Booked 9 nights in this amazing villa. Jal picked us up from the airport even though we missed the 1st flight from Barbados he still went back to the airport. The drive up to the house is an experience in itself. This means you can't do without a hire car. We opted to hire the car from the villa & never had any problems scooting about the island. Unfortunately we never got the chance to meet the owners as they left in the flight we were meant to arrive on. That said Jal looked after us all week. He even made a lovely chicken stew on the 1st night to save us going out. The house is amazing & the long drive up the hill gives you a beautiful panorama of the island looking down at lower bay & up the coast towards Port Elizabeth. The pool is awesome. Small birds come down to drink the fresh water from the edge. We even had bats swooping down drinking from the pool most nights. It's a truly magical location. We only used the bedroom next to the pool as there was only two of us. The kitchen was stocked when we arrived. The villa had mostly UK sockets with 230v supply. This meant we couldn't use our island adaptors for any plugins. We never really had any problems with mosquitos even though we had rain a few nights during our stay. Dawn's Cafe at the bottom of the drive does good coffee & a nice breakfast. Book early if you want a little slice of paradise.

Six of us arrived at Ravenala in February - four English and two Australians - Tim and Anne met us at the airport from then on we had just the best time with trips around the island and the odd shopping trip to buy local crafts - we also managed to cram in a boat trip to Mustique which was all arranged for us by Tim and Anne; but best of all has to be the views across Lower Bay from Ravenala where yachts etc. sail in and out all day long a very interesting and beautiful sight.Ravenala House is stunning and extremely well equipped - who can forget sitting n the terrace eating breakfast and looking across the bay!! Tim makes the most perfect bread and managed to keep us going all through the holiday!!! Staff are lovely a most relaxing holiday.

It's quite hard to know where to begin this review. This is a very special place!! The setting, though up in the hills of Lower Bay, is spectacular. The rising sun is only beaten by the rising moon coming up over the Atlantic side of the hills. It is magical. Sitting in the gorgeous pool and looking at the rest of the island never gets old. The plunge pool is the perfect spot in between day treks and before and after dinner. A quick swim before bed looking at the sparkling lights of St. Vincent and Port Elizabeth is just beautiful. The house is elegantly appointed with just about everything you could need. The beds and linens are so comfortable and the bathrooms are spacious and charming. They bring the outside in in such an imaginative way! We were two couples and had plenty of space and privacy when needed. Though there is air conditioning we did not need to use is. The kitchen was very well equipped. You can tell it has been stocked by someone who is both knowledgeable about cooking and enjoys the process. Having the living room open to the kitchen means no one feels left out during meal preparation. There are lots of linens and nice plates so it is easy to set a pretty table. You are surrounded by peace and nature: birds, an abundance of flowers, a consistent gentle breeze and unbelievable views. If I never had to leave my life would be fulfilled. Tom and Anne have put their heart and soul into the place with ingenious ideas and the comfort and happiness of the guests at the forefront of their minds. Take the car- you will need it! The island is fun to explore and once you get the hang of it, driving there is really not a problem. It would be a shame to not venture to Friendship, Spring, La Pompe etc. If you are looking for a vacation that is a home away from home then you have found it!! Walk in, unpack into the plentiful closet space, pour a drink, kick your feet up and soak in the view and the ambience. You will feel transported!! My husband and I just left Ravenala on our first trip to Bequia. The home sits on a hill overlooking the most breathtaking view you'll ever see. The infinity pool and outdoor space provide many sun-filled, fun-filled days of relaxing but there is plenty of shade to lounge. The home is well equipped and comfortable with a beautiful master suite and shower that overlooks the bay. Most important are the wonderful managers, Anne and Tim Parsons that take care of your every need.

We stayed in Ravanala House on Bequia to celebrate our 25th Anniversary and it was just perfect. The house is beautiful and has fantastic views of Lower Bay, Princess Margareta Bay and Admiralty Bay. The house has wonderful amenities such as a/c in the bedrooms, tv in the upstairs bedroom and in the living area, fully stocked kitchen, comfortable furniture---inside and outside, and last, but certainly not least, a fabulous infinity pool. But the best amenity was the property manager, Jal. He was just fabulous! The owners were also so great to help us plan our visit to Ravanala House. Anne answered our many,many questions and made our visit there, and our Anniversary a great adventure with special memories that we will always treasure. Ravanala House was just perfect. I'm so glad we chose to celebrate our Anniversary there in that fantastic house on that fantastic island.
