We stayed 7 days here and the pictures are exactly what it looks like. The condo is completely updated with beautiful décor. There is a king bed in master suite with balcony view of the gulf, a queen guest room and a den/3rd bedroom with full sized futon. My 2 kids enjoyed having their own spaces. The beds were comfy.I think the sofa in living room is also a pull out bed. All rooms had a tv. Our small dog was also allowed there. Big help as we didn't need to put him in kennel and he's part of the family.
The view is spectacular. We saw dolphins and wild life regularly and sunrise and sunset. We had excellent weather. I enjoyed breakfast and dinner on the balcony. The condo itself has everything! Besides the regular things, like linens, plates , cups, utensils, pans, etc, it has Tupperware, 2 coffee makers, slow cooker, electric mixer, iron/ ironing board, washer/ dryer, laundry basket, detergent and sheets, and drying rack for wet swimsuits. Also beach chairs, beach toys, floats, towels , beach bags , bug spray. Extra linens are neatly labeled in baskets in the many closets. So much closet space! There are books and dvds under the flat screen tv , games in the cabinet in kitchen and we found binoculars to watch the wildlife. Little things like wrenches, tape , Ziploc, foil, spices etc were nice because we cooked and had need of those things.
The pool downstairs was nice , you can only use the one in that building. Unfortunately it was closed for several days due to repairs but we did use it and met nice residents there. The lagoon is nice to sit on but not to swim in, maybe for kayak or paddleboard launch. Lots of mullet in there too. There is a small playground there, bbq grills and nature trail area that was nice for fishing and walking. Be aware, there are 3 sets of keys in the condo, the one with a Grey Fob is the one that has access to the pool and lagoon gates in your building. otherwise you will have to wait to have someone let you in or out.
Wifi is in the condo, sometimes works on balcony but not by pool. Spectrum cable channels but we were mostly outdoors so we didn't watch much tv.
We had one or 2 issues that Jan the owner helped out with very quickly. Nothing to complain about, she was very responsive whenever we needed something. I can't say enough about the condo, it was so tastefully decorated, clean and a pleasure to stay in . We packed more than we needed because the condo has everything.
It is so quiet and peaceful everyday. All I usually heard was an occasional boat on the water, birds and sounds of the Gulf.
We explored the surrounding area as there's not much to do in Hudson for families except sunwest park an aquatic obstacle course/kayak rental/mini beach. Weeki Wachee is north of there about 20min but get there 1 hr early so you make it before it reaches full capacity. Great old florida water park/ mermaid show amusement area. South 40 min in Dunedin is Honeymoon Island, the causeway and Caladesi Island (ferry from Honeymoon). Great beaches! plenty to do as far as sailboat/kayak / paddleboard rentals. Food too on both beaches. Honeymoon allows dogs on one side of the beach.
DALI Museum, Clearwater Aquarium and Museum of Science and industry in Tampa are all about 45-60 min south.
To eat: if you want to cook , there's a winn Dixie across the main street US 19 and Walmart. We ate at the Inn on the Gulf, nice seafood. There is a bar next door sam's that has live music on weekends that you can hear from the balcony. Our favorite place was 15 min south in port richey called Kazu's Sushi in strip mall next to Toys r Us, excellent sushi in an unexpected place. There aren't many places to eat in Hudson but go south to port richey or further on US 19 and there are plenty of places to eat. Also a movie theatre Hollywood 18 15 min south. US 19 is the main road so we travelled north and south to explore.
We had a lovely stay and would recommend this condo to everyone. I will post pictures as well.
