We just booked a weekend in March 2019 for our 10th anniversary. This will be our third stay. Our previous visits had been during the summer months, so we're looking forward to an evening with the fireplace and maybe a little snow outside. The kitchen is the best outfitted of any we've ever rented, so one night we'll go out and another we'll be dining in. Some day we're going to take it for a week, but Danielle may have a hard time getting us to leave. There is no villa quite like this anywhere.

Danielle responded to my vacation request in record time, and was very attentive before, during and after our stay. Everything was perfect when we arrived - the cottage was spotless, adorable, comfortable and quiet, and situated in a lovely setting - everything you could want in a vacation rental and more. The cottage has been lovingly restored by a master craftsman and artist, and is truly a work of art. We enjoyed visits to the local falls and covered bridges, and ate and shopped in nearby towns in 3 states (CT-NY-MA) that looked like they were right out of a Norman Rockwell painting. The Cottage at Great Falls was a perfect place for us to celebrate our 60th birthdays, in a perfect location to boot. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Enjoyed our stay at this beautiful, well appointed cottage and would book again. Only issue is the lack of air conditioning which can be a problem if weather is hot and humid.

We spent a very relaxing weekend here and took great advantage of the deck overlooking the river. Everything was as described and depicted in photos. It was awesome to hear the falls from our room and as we sat outside. It is most certainly a place to remember for future getaways.

I spent a week in July at this lovely cottage and thoroughly enjoyed it! Upon arrival, you will find a very welcoming home. It is a unique, artistic, labor of love and it shows in every room. From the expertly tiled bathroom and floors to the original artwork and stained glass windows, you will not want to leave, but there are many attractions close by. We visited the Infinity Music Hall, Kripalu, Jacob's Pillow as well as the CIA in Hyde Park. Great Barrington is close by as well as plenty of local dining choices. If you decide to eat in, there is a fully stocked kitchen as well as a terrace and deck overlooking the Housatonic river for outdoor dining. You can end the day with a relaxing whirlpool bath before retiring to the very comfortable beds or listen to music or watch a movie. There is an extensive collection of CDs and videos. Although you are guests, the owners hospitality causes you to feel more like friends. Many thanks, Danielle and Mario, for sharing this gem. I look forward to returning soon.

My husband and I stayed here for a recent visit on a trip to New England. We chose this Falls Village cottage and it was truly wonderful. Everything from the location, right up against the Housatonic river, to the beautiful care that has so clearly gone into this cottage, we couldn't have been happier with our choice. The pictures we saw before we arrived gave us a good idea about the cottage but they just can't do it justice as once you arrive you begin to see everything about this special place that makes it so unique.

I have been traveling to the northwest of Connecticut since my teens, spending a lot of weekends at Lime Rock and Sharon where my daughters spent their summers in a camp. There hasn't been a summer that i haven't traveled here for some reason or dreamed of a place of my own in the region.Well, I've found the next best thing. This cottage could not be more inviting and comfortable. The finishes, furnishings and Tuscan tone of the house feel comfortable and rustically elegant. There is original art throughout by Danielle and Mario's creativity and craftsmanship keep you intrigued with it's whimsical touches from room to room. The deck looking onto the river is just like another room of the house. Right in town is the Falls Village Inn for cocktails or dinner. The Toy Makers Cafe is delicious, friendly and totally unique. Nearby the hike up Haystack mountain is worth the view from the amazing tower there. Looking down, you can see the road winding to Norfolk and Infinity Hall, an intimate music venue with top acts booked year round. Spend a couple days at the cottage and you'll be planning you next visit before your a mile down the road home.

Went with the girlfriend for a weekend getaway and chose the perfect place. Extremely relaxing and soothing trip. Everything you need is there, french press? Yep. Towels? Yep. Amazing art? Yep! This place is incredibly decorated and if you forgot anything there is a 99% chance there is an extra in the house. When we arrived everything was set up perfectly and the fire place even had a "Light Here" sign. I highly recommend this place and Danielle was amazing to work with. Every question was answered and she was very polite. This is a need to visit place!

Perfect getaway location with all the amenities – including a fireplace for a perfect winter stay. The cottage was clean and inviting, and the character of the furnishings and layout were incredible. Whether you want to stay in or venture out to nearby stores and restaurants, the cottage really is a perfect location for a vacation escape.

My sister and I stayed in the cottage for two nights this summer. It was a totally awesome experience. We were visiting the area where we had spent many wonderful summers years ago. The cottage was immaculate and the every inch shows the craftsmanship and artistic esthetic of the owners. It was very clear that the house has been lovingly restored by a master craftsman. In addition, the house is so cleverly decorated you never tire of exploring all it's nooks and crannies. While my sister visited with a friend, I hiked to Lion's Head on the nearby Appalachian Trail for fantastic views of the Housatonic Valley. There is so much to do in this area and there are wonderful restaurants and coffee houses close by. This is a great place for a weekend get away or a week long stay. Our favorite spot was the large deck where we enjoyed the beautiful landscaping and relaxing views of the Housatonic river. This place is a treasure. I've stayed in many fine Inns and Hotels over the years, but none compare with the ambience of this charming cottage.
