First time in Osaka and travelling with the family (3 senior citizens, 4 adults, 1 toddler). Location 5/5 >The entrance to Ebisu train station is literally right outside of the doorstep. >24 hour supermarket (Super Tamade) will have the cheapest bentos, snacks, everything basically. Although there are 2 convenient stores (Family Mart & Lawson), we still go here. Perfect for us family on a budget. I also go straight to their discount bins for 50 yen onigiris. Best deal I got was 1 yen mochi. >On our street alone, there was a horumonyaki (grilled beef/pork offal) place, a 2 ramen shops, 1 kissaten, 1 bake/cakeshop, and 2 other restaurants are located. So really, if you're tired and don't want to think about where to eat, you're covered. >Shinsekai is a 5 minute walk. That's where Tsutentaku tower is. Lots of food, shops, and bars located. There's even an old school arcade game center and gachapon center where we always frequent at. >Den-den town is a 10 minute walk. That's where all the anime and electronics are. >Daiso and Don Quixote (24 hours) is a 10 minute walk. Apartment itself Located at the 8th floor, ok with luggage because with elevator. Room 1 is spacious if you don't put the futon out. We put all of our luggages here. It has a closet where you can find the futon, many hangers, and an electric fan when the room gets hot. It is connected by a sliding door to Room 2 which is small because there are 2 double beds. The TV is located there along with 1 of 2 aircon units. Room 3 looks very Japanese with 2 double bed sized futons and a tatami mat. The 2nd aircon unit is here. The bath and toilet are separate, but very small. Not a problem for some (like us), but can be problematic for others. Bath soap, shampoo and conditioners placed in big pump bottles are provided. The common area has a small table with 4 chairs, the kitchen area, the clothes rack with many hangers, and the washing machine. It's fully furnished, with many tea cups, plates, bowls, utensils, electric kettle, a pot and pan, knives, scissors. Because we like going to the grocery, we utilized the kitchen to the max (eat cereal, made miso soup, pour-over coffee). Our fridge was also stocked up with a lot of juice, milk, and fruits. That's how thrifty we were. The washing machine was also a lifesaver, as we stayed for 7 days and opted not to bring too much clothes. The clothes air-dried just fine inside the house for a day. Laundry detergent was provided. Small hand held vacuum cleaner was present for those who would like to clean the floors (especially in Room 3 'cause all 3 girls stayed there and our hairs accumulated already haha). There were a lot of umbrellas too just in case everyone needed it. It showered a lot during our time. In general, if you're a family or very close friends who do not mind the inconvenience of a (relatively) small space, then this is perfect budget place.
