Sadly this was a very expensive uncomfortable experience...
We are two women & three children travelling together..Alon was well aware of our situation with many emails between us prior to the trip being taken. We were transparent he & his Land of Galilee websight was not!..we tried to overlook the initial shock of 4 out of 5 of us would be sleeping on the floor in a communal area with the 5th person having to sleep in one of the children's bed(which the child had to vacate).it was ok at first we went on some tours ate nice food.We were paying $200 US dollars to experience: A Hebrew immersion homestay which was supposed to include some tours ,three meals per day ,kids activities &,tranportation.. However we were not informed of the reality that both parents would be working that 2 of their children would be left at home with us during school hours on one particular day.We were not aware that there was a bus service within a 5 minute walk until the day we left which increased our sense of isolation.we expected Hebrew lessons as advertised an got impersonal communication & arrogant indifference.we were made to feel very unwelcome. Extra money had also been given for extra tours that had not been taken the children were very distressed at how we were being spoken too. We decided to cut the trip short. Three weeks plus extra tours had been payed for.We stayed ten days and have not recieved a refund nor did we receive the return of a Hebrew pendant left behind when requested..it was a very expensive experience for us "buyer Beware"! We will definitely be reading trip adviser before making any future trips abroad..

i must say that i and my family are still in shock from the staying of this guests in our house. after many emails with them include exact details about the property and about it is homestay and not hotel or guesthouse and sending them photos the original price offered them was 350 $ per day for 5 people include food + accommodation+ tours. they said it is too expensive and i offered them another deal for 200 $ that does not include long tours , they agreed but the expected to get the whole package for the allmost half price.
from the begining their kids felt at home and i think they had good time and we went to nice places and they ate very well , much better quality of food then any restaurant in this area - includes organic vegetables and best cheese and olive oil found here. they got wine and they got much more then they should. when i offered them the package of 200 dollars i told them they will have to take care of themself sometimes as i work and as i have 4 kids to take care of , they didnt care and they demand to be served all the time and could not do anything by themselfs even we offered to drive them to places and take them back too. they choose to stay at home and to do nothing and to complain even they had the option to go out , the kids didnt want to go out cause they have nice time i think and outside was too hot for them.
there was a dinner we made where my 83 years old father came and told them stories about the independent of Israel and the lady dishonored him by complaining about his english and it happen many times as our family felt that the guests do not respect them - include my daughters and sons - despite all of that we still could find a solution but the guests decided to leave cauee they didnt "felt at home" include kids putting legs on our new sofa , doing laundary and do whatever they want in our house. i felt this guests treat us like we are their entertainment and not as humans from different culture - they were disrespect us!

zeer relaxed en gastvrij
Wij hebben al 3 jaar zeer goede ervaringen met Alon en Galit Kafry en hun 4 kinderen gehad. Alon is een uitstekende gids. Hij weet veel te vertellen. Brengt je in contact met mensen die daar wonen en werken en iets te vertellen hebben.Thuis is hij ook een meester in het bereiden van maaltijden met producten uit het land van Galilea. Alon en Galit zijn gastvrij en alles is mogelijk bij hen. Wij vinden het ontzettend jammer, dat wij dit 4e jaar niet meer bij hen terecht konden in oktober. Zij zijn al volgeboekt!

Unique touring and home-like atmosphere
I had the pleasure of staying with Alon and his family for 2 nights last May. His family provides deliciously cooked meals as well as the option for taking a tour of the region. Trips are customized to suit your interests and Alon is very accommodating of your traveling schedule- he will pick you up from a nearby city so there is no need to find the place yourself! He also has extensive knowledge of the area and adorable kids who sometimes will come along for the tour ride as well.
I had the opportunity to see the sea of galilee, tour the golan heights, and go to mount tabor. It was an excellent trip where I got to get off the beaten path and see things most travellers don't get to experience. Highly recommended!
