The Residence Kazungula is not a normal hotel or lodge; you rent a whole two story house with a live in made and huge garden with a pool, braai place and placebo. The house has 4 bedrooms, so ideal if you are several traveling together. There’s a small living room downstairs and access to a washing machine. Upstairs a larger living room with a large deck with view over the river, there’s also a kitchen with dining table. The garden is very big and has a large pool, just for you, next to the pool are a build-up braai stand and a large placebo with another kitchen, dining table and some couches and a hammock. There’s a 24h maid living in a side wing of the house, which will keep the house clean every day as well as book any trip you want with pick up at the house. This I a really nice and private place, just remember it’s completely self-catering.

The place is beautifully located on the Chobe riverbank, in the afternoon/evenings we had our private animal show with elephants and warthogs. There is an impressive garden with a nice pool and an outside sitting area next to the pool for enjoying the garden. The are options for barbecue . The villa is big enough for 4 families ( there are 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms). The living area and the kitchen are huge. All the place is well maintained, very clean. The personnel is very attentive,lives on the premises but is hardly noticeable. There is a security guard on site every night. Not counting the huge friendly dog. We regretted our short stay, we could have stayed another week there.

I found this holiday home by chance on booking.com and searched for reviews from other visitors online. It is a hidden gem! The house and garden are beautiful, the elephants passing by the outside wall twice a week are amazing. We could have stayed our whole holiday on the premises of this beautiful home. The lapa and the swimming pool were great and our children adored Ella the watchdog (who was friendly to us, but protected us from everything creepy and crawly at night). The helpers were available 24/7, lovely girls and made us feel very welcome. Just the perfect home away from home, all kinds of trips can be arranged via them. We went on a cruise on the Chobe river, went to Vic Falls and on a safari game drive. When our driver didn't show up for the game drive, our guide from Vic Falls jumped in her van and picked us up in her PJ's after a call from the onsite staff. We used the braai one night and the next morning it was already spotless clean. We feel we have been pampered here and enjoyed the luxury of having a whole house for our family. Nature is beautiful in this part of Botswana, I really will plan a trip back to this place with other friends and family who are coming to Botswana.

Close to all the attractions in Kasane on the Chobe. Really loved the house and yard. It is great for families and small groups. There are stairs though for some rooms.

In der Unterkunft haben 10 Personen gut Platz, sie müssen sich 3 große Bäder teilen. Alle Räume sind außer mit den Betten auch mit Sitzmöbeln ausgestattet und wirken dennoch nicht beengt. Wohnraum, Essbereich und große Küche bieten Platz für die gemeinsame Zubereitung von Mahlzeiten und gemütliche Gesprächsrunden. Hat man keine Lust zum Kochen sollte man das Essen in einer Lodge in Kasane im Vorab bestellen. Von der schönen Terrasse im 1. Stock hat man einen Blick auf den Chobe River und manchmal auch auf Elefanten die morgens und abends dort auf Futtersuche sind. Das Haus steht in einem gepflegten Garten mit Pool. Auch hier gibt es sehr schöne, überdachte Sitzgelegenheiten, die dazu einladen auch mal einige Stunden einfach nur die Ruhe zu genießen. Ein Sicherheitsdienst überwacht die gesamte Anlage. 2 junge Frauen sorgen für die Reinigung des Hauses und sind Ansprechpartner bei der Buchung von Ausflügen. Wir haben die River Cruise auf dem Chobe und den Besuch der Victoriafälle gebucht und waren mit Service und Preis sehr zufrieden.

El alojamiento es muy bueno, amplias habitaciones, mobiliario nuevo y bien cuidado, como pega algunos detalles de habitaciones, piscina o cocina, donde tienen algún cuadro eléctrico a la vista, alguna mancha en paredes, algún mal acabado, etc, pero en general defectos menores. Su ubicación requiere de vehículo propio, se encuentra en una ciudad a 5-10 minutos de kasane, el verdadero punto turístico de la zona, pero esto no debe ser un problema para viajeros que dispongan de vehículo. El alojamiento es muy recomendable para familias o grupos. Cuenta con wifi de buena calidad. El trato del personal es muy bueno y estan dispuestos a ayudar. Bonita casa en una ciudad próxima a kasane. Dispone de un amplio y cuidado jardín con piscina la cual fue la mas limpia que nos encontramos en todo botswana y la zona de estar junto a la misma es ideal, con sofás y mesa para comer bajo un techo pero abierto. Fue de lo mejor de la estancia poder disfrutar de la piscina, las tumbonas, y comer y cenar al aire libre, cuentan incluso con barbacoa, todo muy bien equipado. El interior de la casa es ideal para un grupo o familia de 8, al disponer de 4 habitaciones independientes dobles, dos de ellas muy amplias con baño propio (especialmente la de la planta de arriba, espectacular) y otras dos algo menores pero suficientes que compartían un baño. El salón en la planta de arriba y su terraza muy cómodos y amplios y la cocina muy bien equipada. Ademas te obsequian con algo de fruta, cereales y elementos básicos para cocinar como aceite, sal, especias, etc. Todo estaba bien equipado y limpio. Las personas al cargo recogían la casa cada día y lo dejaban todo perfecto. Muy recomendable

Lots of large airy rooms with huge gardens meant this was perfect for us with four adults and four children. The Chobe river is just a short distance away and the Zimbabwe border is also very close. It was easy to find and recognisable by the local taxi drivers. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Residence. A couple of minor notes to make are that the DSTV only worked in the upstairs bedroom and the kitchen could benefit from a makeover, but overall a well recommended property from which to base your trip from.

We are a family of eight that had a great time in The Residence. Big air-conditioned rooms, lovely pool and lapa with it's own kitchen and braai. Big kitchen, large common areas and nice balcony. A great spot on one hand to relax and chill but also close to Kasane, Chobe and the borders to Zimbabwe and Zambia. The owner was friendly and helpful and the house serviced daily. Highly recommended
