This cabin provided a perfect headquarters for our trips into Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park. The cabin is well kept and the owners of the cabin have taken care to preserve the time and style of the cabin's origin. In addition, they shared the history of the cabin and the relationship their families had with the original owner of the cabin and the story is an amazing tale of intrigue. If you get a chance to hear the story of the man who lived in the cabin and analyzed German communications on behalf of the Allies and the American people, do not pass up the opportunity. You will see a picture of the early cabin if you stay there and the story that describes the life and times of the original owner as well as the relationships he formed with ancestors of the current owners is actually the kind of story that often finds its way to the Hollywood Screen. Our stay at the Tahosa Valley Cabin was such a pleasure. The hummingbirds buzzing around the feeders at every window which are carefully maintained by the owners and the view from the deck as well as the hot tub that massages sore muscles after a day of hiking in RMNP are all amenities that are hard to describe with words and almost impossible to place a value on. Our stay at the Tahosa (historic) Cabin was nothing short of perfect. Simple- yet full of character. We loved EVERY detail the cabin offered from the original door hardware to the scenic deck views of the valley and most importantly the PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN vibe. This cozy cabin was the perfect place for the two of us and our dog Sully. We spent most of the days hiking and doing the tourist thing. The cabin was a nice peaceful place to come back to and get some rest. The check in process was very easy. The owners are very easy to work with live close by if you need something. The location was perfect. Very close to Estes Park, Rocky Mountain National Park and the Brainard Recreational area. Thank you Rosemary for sharing your lovely cabin with us. We had a great time. Great cabin out of the hustle of the town and on its own!

I will never stay here again. Horrible owner and management of the property. The bed was hard and sheets were dirty. House was hot. No WiFi in case of emergencies. Don’t stay here.

This was one of the best VRBO's we have ever stayed at! A cute, rustic, charming yet updated little mountain cabin. Perfect size for a getaway for my husband & I without the kids. Cabin was easy to find, stunning views and 10/10 cleanliness (which is a big deal for me when picking rentals). The hot tub on the deck overlooking the mountains is stamped in our minds forever. Just beautiful. Also enjoyed helping take care of the hummingbirds and watch them buzz around. ~20 mins to RMNP Beaver Meadows entrance, and ~3-5 mins from RMNP Wild Basin entrance. Also enjoyed Lilly Lake hikes as reccomended by Rosemary. Upon arrival there had just been a big lightning storm and phone & water were out...but Brian & Rosemary were there taking care of it into the darkness of night to make sure we had water for our stay. Will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you Brian & Rosemary for sharing a piece of your history with us.

The location and views from the cabin/deck/hot tub are breathtaking. The cabins interior is stunning and has windows galore to enjoy amazing views. I can't say I'm a fan of washing dishes but with views like that I found myself chomping at the bit to do them, humming bird feeder is just outside the window by the sink so mountains in the distance and birds up close. The humming birds don't mind humans at all, they came and went continuously. The only small downside was the bed, might just be we're spoilt at home with ours, the sofa bed made up for it. I highly recommend this cabin if you're looking to get away from everyday life and the hustle and bustle, we left feeling refreshed and relaxed. I was in contact with Rosemary and she was lovely and streamlined everything. 10/10.

Everything was absolutely perfect inside and out. We very much appreciated the work that the owners put into every detail in this beautiful cabin and the surrounding property. The owners were very responsive to a couple of questions as well and had everything easy, self explanatory and well laid out in every sense. We had a great birthday celebration for my wife and we loved our time at the Tahosa cabin and hope to return again soon.

We had a great stay at the cabin. If you are looking for a small (2 person) mountain getaway cabin, this is a great place to stay. Very nice decor and everything was very well maintained. The 2-person hot tub with mountain views is a definite plus.
