The quaint village of Santo Estevão provides you with all amenities, a supermarket, restaurant/Café 'O Forno' (popular amongst tourists as well as the Portuguese), post office, Pharmacy, hairdresser and not forgetting the Church of Santo Estevão (St Stephen). The larger charming medieval town of Tavira, with its 22 churches, magnificent Roman bridge (Ponte Romana) where the river Gilão flows through out to the Atlantic, not to mention the abundance of cafes and restaurants, is just a 10 minute drive away. 25 minutes from Faro Airport and in the other direction 25 minutes to the Spanish border. Fancy a day trip to Seville, this can be reached in an hour and a half. There is plenty to do in the Algarve, walking, cycling, golfing, fishing, beautiful wide beaches or just relax at the pool and do nothing.
