This villa really has it all--most importantly, a truly spectacular view over Hope Beach, which is a lush deserted beach that lies several hundred feet below the villa, with the constant sound of waves breaking on the beach and against the rocks that guard the entrance to the cove. (It's not for swimming, but there are plenty of beaches to drive to close by.) The villa itself is situated and opens in such a way so as to maximize both the breeze off the water and the astounding views. In addition, the villa itself is extremely well-appointed (the linens, furniture, kitchen), so that even the most discerning traveller will be satisfied with the level of luxury. To top it off, the staff at the villa is extraordinary, especially Joy, who cleans every day, is a font of knowledge about the island, and is available to cook simple but tasty meals for a reasonable additional fee. Finally, Bequia is a really special island: there are beautiful beaches, very limited development, and a nice and friendly vibe. We were there a week and loved it.
We are a family of four, with two kids ages 14 and 11. The one thing to talk through with the owner, depending on your group, is the layout. For a group of adults or a family with young kids who would sleep in the downstairs bedroom adjacent to their parents, the house works well. I think the same is true for a family with teenagers, who would be happy to be in their own separate space. For kids in between its worth talking through the options to be sure everyone is happy.
