On first sight tge villa looked big and appealing. Unfortunately this was to proved drastically inaccurate. The kitchen/lounge area where acceptable. As was the heated pool ( heating cost €200 cash) this is not clear at first glance of description,
Which just says "heated pool" Thereafter! - The villa is tired with many things broken or unusable. The beds- honestly the worse beds I have ever slept in, the mattresses where no more than 3inch thick on wooden slats, each one of us complained every morning that they hardly slept, along with bad backs, not something you need when all the group where in there latter years, this was so bad that from the 3rd night we took it in turns in to sleep on the sofa, pretty damming on a property described as "superb villa" . It is NOT it is old and worn. From our understanding it has been a long term rental, tidied and re let recently ( the visitors book last date was 2016 !!. The list of problems where endless. Bathrooms, (some) no plugs , no hot water, no pressure. Spa bath not working, baths stained. Outdoor pool shower not working. Frustratingly the internet only worked on the kitchen floor, not in any of the bedrooms. Draws broken,no hand sanitizers!! . Down stairs is a pool table, but the ques are so bent they are unuseable. All condiments where obviously there years, 1 or two coffee pods, no t bags, 2 dishwasher tabs. We notified the agents MY MADEIRA, by e mail so there was no grey area. Some 3 hours later, whilst having lunch I had a call from the Owner. In 35 years of renting villas all over the world I have never to endure such a toxic unpleasant owner, she was unwilling to hear my complaints poo pooed 5hat there was anything wrong and was aggressive and unpleasant, I think had touched a nerve re the problems. Since I was on holiday I had no interest in speaking further to this woman. I asked no to ring again and AI would take it up with Our Madeira.
On arrival at the villa at night it was obvious that someone had been in 5he villa. NO permission was asked or given. We continued to contact Our Madeira, asking for things to be done along with a reduction in the rental, I e mailed them 7 times, each reply avoided what we asked. We will pursue this matter. Our advice based on our experience is DO NOT RENT THIS VILLA, YOU WIL BE DISAPPOINTED. Ditto in our opinion Our Madeira!! You have been warned
