I'm really sorry you didn't like my place but I also think your 3-stars review is unfair. 98% of my guests are very happy when they leave. Perhaps you booked the wrong place for you? I remember you booked last minute and at a very low rate too. Probably a place outside the channels ring, would have been newer, larger and maybe a better option for your group of 2. You sound like you were expecting a 5 star experience in a cannabis friendly B&B. Perheaps you are used to book something more fancy normally, closer to the RAI? I thought the site had an accurate description of the property with about 40 pictures to see. That should give you a good impression of what you are going to book before doing so. The stairs in the B&B are not steep at all for an Amsterdam centre 1905 house but of course for you coming from Italy they may look so. About the smell of smoke: Again, you have booked and stayed at a cannabis friendly B&B. What did you aspected? It can happen you know, that sometimes you can strongly smell smoke but normally not. Only if if someone is so unlucky (like you have) that the previous 4 guests left the same morning and smoked also many sigarettes inside without ventilate the place. On the other end, here is everything clean and tight each time a new guest arrives. Worn forniture: Trueish... As a cannabis friendly B&B my space is not fitted with hi end furniture (even if I would like to). More the swidish yellow-blue stuff. It's good and looks fine but also quite fragile. With so many guests been "Amsterdamized", or simply not paying attention to things, things wear out pretty quick. I normally don't ask to pay me back the damages for small things and I may be wrong in doing so but I'm fine with it (and most of my guests too!). Repairs are done all year round. Also when you was here, the van in the shower wasn't working correctly and I replace it with a new one the same morning you notified to me. The place even gets a complete renovation each year in low season (last february this year): Walls got repaired, electric got behind walls and all is been repainted completely, new floor is been placed and the damaged furniture replaced (the only thing I can't say goodby to is the small couch but that's for a personal reasons). At least twice a year also towels and linnen are replaced with new ones. I offer plenty of other stuff (like munchees sweets or breakfast stuff for example) that you will not be often given for free in Amsterdam. I always do my best to offer my guests the best possible experience during their stay in my place. That's why your 3 star review feels more like a punch under the belt than a fair advice.
