This was our forth stay at Minne’s Amsterdam Canal View Apartment situated on the Singel. We love it there, and feel more comfortable with the City each time we visit. This is a great apartment in a central location, close to trams, restaurants, food stores, museums, and the city sights. It is a quiet location, and we feel very safe day and night. The view of the houses along the Singel from the living room windows is wonderful—so many beautiful homes facing the canal. We buy our groceries locally, enjoy the kitchen in the apartment for our breakfasts. Minne has outfitted the various areas of the flat with all the necessary items, and another plus are all the guide books, and a personally prepared book which offers details of the various places of interest not just for Amsterdam, but surrounding areas as well. This location on the No 2, 11 and 12 tram stop is a great location. Near bars, restaurants, book shops and over-looking one of the many canals (Singel). The apartment is comfortable and well stocked, though the bedroom is remarkably small for those of us not used to the restrictions of Amsterdam. And the small, narrow stairway up to the apartment is another challenge.

Location amazing. Beautifully appointed and furnished. Quiet, yet everything at its door step. Canal views, coffee shops major attractions. .Hosts very informative, welcoming and helpful. An amazing stay. Thank you. We will be back!

Location was brilliant. Lovely view. Ammenienties great too. Near to all attractions and supermarket. Greeted and made very welcome.

Our first trip to Amsterdam was fantastic. Christian was waiting for us and took the time to explain the city highlights. You couldn't ask for a better location. One minute walk to the oldest pub in Amsterdam (Hoppe), as well as cafes etc. The apartment was more than what we expected, knowing that in the older parts of Europe apartments can be small. Not in this case. Well stocked with coffee, tea, towels, toiletries with a large kitchenette. Take the hosts advice and don't bring large bags. The buildings in Amsterdam are very narrow, there is a reason for this...do a canal tour and find out why. So the stairs are quite steep and narrow. Don't let this put you off as you get use to them after a couple times. Thanks Minne and Christian for making our holiday a great experience. We would definitely stay here again.

Restaurants, flower market, Rembrandt Square, tram stop and more all within walking distance. Lovely view of the canal.

We chose this B&B based on the reviews knowing that breakfast was not available. However that was not a concern as there are loads of eating places in the area. Our favourite was Le Pain Quotidien. Minne was wonderful host and certainly looked after our needs and made arrangements for taxis. Gave us good advice on shopping and the apartment itself was beautiful. Exactly as pictured. It was cool to be able to watch the activity on the street below and on the canal. We walked everywhere from here. I always have loads of questions about where we're staying and he spent whatever time we needed explaining Amsterdam to us. Thank you Minne for everything! Would absolutely recommend and can't think of a better area to stay in.

The central location along the canal made it easy for walks, local sites and restaurants. The bed was comfortable, amenities suitable and the rental process professional and speedy. Our host arranged for a taxi pickup for our trip to the airport which was appreciated.

We arrived in Amsterdam after a hectic tour of Great Britain, and it was wonderful to have 4 days on our own to walk and enjoy this beautiful city at our own pace. The apartment is in the central district and one of the best areas of the city to walk, and enjoy the old buildings and the sights. It is a good area for tourists, but also filled with local people, restaurants and bars that are not just frequented by tourists. (We were there during a "herring festival", and I doubt if too many tourists were interested in the new season of raw herring!) The "canal view" description is right on - you get up to the apartment and look out the window right over the Singel Canal. The apartment is comfortable and spacious and we made breakfast every morning so we didn't have to run out, although there are 2-3 coffee shops and bakeries right downstairs if you prefer, and a number of good restaurants within a 2-3 block area. Be prepared for very narrow, steep stairs. The owners will help you with your bags, but this is not a place for people with disabilities.
