We were very impressed with this cottage. It was exactly as presented. Great bed, terrific shower, super kitchen and quiet as a mouse. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Enjoyed the proximity to the U Bahn and the grocery store. We “did” Munich on foot and only used Uber for traveling to the airport. Walking 5 miles per day seems like nothing now! In all seriousness, we have stayed at multiple VRBO/HomeAway reservations and this one is one of the best.

This property is wonderful! It is quite and walking distance to a small grocery store, excellent restaurant, mini-hofbrauhaus and the u-bahn. We enjoyed meeting Karin and her husband. Wonderful hostess and host!. I would highly recommend this property. It met all of our needs during our stay in Munich for Octoberfest.

While working in Munich in June 2019 I spent two weeks at this property and found it (as other reviewers have said) delightful, clean, well-kept and well-organized. Tucked behind another set of apartments in a separate building on a quiet street, it is very private and secluded. The garden terrace off the bedroom is charming, with plants placed strategically to provide privacy from nearby apartments -- yet not making you feel that you're walled in. The closest subway stop is only 5-10 minutes' walk from the apartment, which makes getting around easy. First-time visitors to the city would be well advised to have a map ready to find the property on arrival. While small, the kitchen is fully functional and well-equipped (though I used only the stove top, not the oven). One of the best aspects of the property is its proximity to a small "Mom and Pop" store just around the corner that has just about everything one needs -- along with a delightful older woman at the cash register who is unfailingly cheerful and helpful. The apartment is recently renovated with modern fixtures and finishes, as the pictures indicate. (Though I'm still not sure what the purpose of the bar stools might be -- shown in the main image on the website -- since the counter in front of them is completely unusable at that height!) The owner provides a useful list of local restaurants and sights. Wifi is fast and easy. It would have been helpful for me to have had more instructions from the owner for the TV and washing machine, but I eventually found the correct manuals in drawers scattered throughout the apartment. The owner was always very responsive to questions prior to and during my stay, but not available when I checked in, so that I was on my own to figure out how everything worked, which is unusual for a VRBO property (in my experience). But that's a small issue; overall, I found the apartment to be a wonderful place to come home to, and would recommend it again.

The guesthouse in Schwabing-Freiman was an ideal place for our visit to Munich. The guesthouse itself was warm, clean, and beautifully decorated. All the needed basics for a short stay were there. The location, in a quiet neighborhood, was also ideal. Close to the subway and to the English garden. It almost felt as though we were in the country, though just minutes away from Munich's center. We loved our stay there and would highly recommend it to others.

Convenient location, green and quiet environmeny. Excellent overall

The guest house is at the back of a small row of terraces and is very private and very quiet. It still needs some updating on the outside, but the inside is beautiful and designed to a high and very comfortable standard. It is extremely clean and well kept, and well equipped. It is located a little outside the main centre, but only a short train ride from old Munich, Marienplatz. The train is only a few minutes walk away. The very wonderful English Garten is almost immediately adjacent, and we strolled its length into Marienplatz, from memory took 45 minutes or so... a most lovely park and walk. Karin is very responsive and very helpful. Unless you feel a strong need to stay right in the heart of Munich centre, this is wonderful accommodation and we would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful guesthouse located in quiet neighborhood. Near U Bahn, grocery stores and English Garden. Great place to stay and enjoy everything Munich has to offer. The house itself is clean, modern and has more than enough amenities which make, eating in and doing laundry easy. 10/10 would stay at again!

Very comfortable and convenient to the U ban. The animal on the keychain would not fit in the little box.. jane

The Little Guesthouse was very nice, functional and roomy. It was quiet and proximity to the English Gardens for walking and beer garden very enjoyable. Just a few Euros spent on a clothes rack to dry /air washing and a couple of hooks to hang bath towels - details which may seem insignificant to some - would help convenience. The location is a bit ‘residential’ in that there is no local shopping or restaurant street which without a car may be difficult for some. Situated in the rear yard of an apartment building may also be off-putting for some but it was certainly very quiet and we saw nobody else. We remained respectful of our surrounds and endeavoured to be good neighbors. Overall a very nice place but important to consider the location which may not be the best for you depending on your plans - ie if you wNt to walk to restaurants, groceries etc.
