Whale of a time!
Blitz Beach House put on a top notch stay! Breakfast bbq on the deck, whales at sunset, kayaking to a secluded beach, kitchen with a view, watercolour inspiration, great location between Lund and Powell River…need we say more? Blitz Beach House is the coziest of cottage vibes, and the most hospitable of hosts. We will be back for sure!

Zeer mooi gelegen Beach house met bijzondere gastheer en -vrouw
Het Beachhouse is erg mooi gelegen en je hebt de beschikking over een mooi balkon, eigen strand en tuin. Je kunt gratis gebruik maken van de kajakken.
De kamer is niet erg groot maar wel prima. Het is schoon en heeft ook een kitchenette waar je eventueel je eigen eten kunt bereiden.
De gastheer en -vrouw, Marius en Paula, zijn zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Zij doen er alles aan om je thuis te voelen. Wij voelden ons er erg welkom en wij voelden ons thuis. Zij gaven ons diverse goede adviezen wat er te doen/bezichtigen is in de omgeving.
Wij kunnen dit verblijf dan ook zeker aanbevelen.

Well contained cozy retreat space
Very comfortable space beautifully finished inside and out. Friendly hosts (and Max the resident Iridoodle) The cat not so friendly. Saw orcas, seals and sea lions, eagles ravens and a plethora of humming birds. Incredible sunset. Easily accessible to restaurants and other services in the area. Fire pit, lounging areas and rocky beach access. Boat launch possible.

Cute hideaway with great view
If you've stayed on a boat and loved it, you'll love this place. Paula and Marius have thought of absolutely everything, and designed this one-room with bathroom to make maximum use of every inch of the lovely space. Features beautifully-crafted woodwork and high ceilings, with great views - even from the kitchen sink. We sat on the balcony and watched humpback whales. There's also a pretty sitting area and firepit next to the water. The kitchen came with many thoughtful supplies, and it was the cleanest rental we've ever experienced - not a speck of dirt anywhere. Paula and Marius are warm and welcoming, and very knowledgeable about the area.

An excellent escape
We spent four days at the Blitz Beach House in August. The studio is compact, but very well designed and laid out. The kitchen is modest, but a little care in menu planning makes meal preparation easy. The upper deck at the studio entry has a grill and there is a lovely sitting area closer to the water, so there are excellent outdoor spaces that are comfortable and available. As they note, the bed is against one wall, so some fun flexibility is part of getting into bed for one of you.
The Lund area is lovely and offers nice opportunities for outings; we walked in the woods, spent a day on Savary island, and kayaked in Okeover Arm. Paula and Marius were delightful, accommodating hosts and we enjoyed their company along with the lovely accommodation. Thanks!
We would definitely recommend this location to others.

Fabulous
What a wonderful place to spend a few days to relax or get to know the exceptional beauty of the Sunshine Coast and Desolation Sound. Paula and Marius are great hosts. There is a wealth of information about the area in the cottage, a very thoughtful little library and a well thought out basic pantry. We spend many hours very comfortably sitting by the ocean. Sometimes their well behaved dog, Max, came by to check on us, sweet!

Views better than the photos!
Not too many places you stay that end up being nicer than the 'glamour' shots used on websites. This is one of them! Great quaint location and perfect for relaxing. Space isn't huge but has everything you need for an enjoyable experience and was more than adequate for our visit. Best views you'll find anywhere - and I've been a lot of places! Only stayed two nights but already looking at new dates for a return visit.

Fabulous!
The Blitz Beach House was a restful retreat. The most amazing part of our stay was the view of the ocean and the beach. Marius and Paula were friendly and accommodating hosts and they went out of their way to provide us with information about the local area and dining spots. The property boasts a private deck/seating area beachside for guests, our favourite place to relax, read, and play games. The room was cozy and comfortable and filled with all of the amenities necessary to cook meals.

Perfect Location!!
We originally booked Blitz beach house for just two nights, but within minutes of arriving and seeing a Sea Lion swim past just meters from the beach we were thinking of staying longer (which we did!!). It is just the most beautiful quiet location that one could wish for. The owners are lovely people and have set up this lovely suite to cater for your every need. We will be back for sure!!

Well set up guest house in peaceful, seaside location, with welcoming, accommodating hosts.
We stayed two nights at Blitz Beach House in May 2015, using it as our base to spend time along the northern Sunshine Coast. We were very pleased with our choice of accommodation. The beach house is located right by the sea and down a long and quiet side road from the highway, so the only 'noise' one hears is the lapping of water and eagle and other bird calls - a huge plus. The beach house is a compact one-room unit atop the equally compact house of the owners, Paula and Marius. It is well set-up for guests including for those who might want to prepare some meals. We appreciated the various guidebooks and maps on hand for guests to peruse and borrow for use. But perhaps most of all we were pleased that Paula and Marius were welcoming and accommodating, including inviting us to join them to sip wine and chat in their nice rock garden area.
We were fortunate to have sunshine the entire time we were there. If the weather is inclement and one is staying there for more than a night or two, the setting could be harder to enjoy and one might feel a bit cooped up. The beach house is compact as we have written, with the bed set along one wall so that the person sleeping next to the wall has to climb over the other to get to the (also compact) washroom. But for us these were minor matters that did not detract in any significant way from our overall stay. We therefore heartily recommend Blitz Beach House for others to enjoy.
