Clean but noisy
I was here for a work trip and it was comfortable and clean but any day that the pub is open underneath is loud, vibrating music throughout the entire hotel until past 2am and people yelling in the streets around.

Good renovated accommodation - but noisy
The set-up here is: Ground floor bottle shop & bar (open until 2 am at weekends), 1st floor pizza restaurant (closed for renovations during our visit), 2nd floor bedrooms & shared kitchen. The problem is immediately obvious – noise. It’s a shame because our room (205) was good – plenty of space, comfy bed, clean well fitted bathroom with good water pressure in the shower, nice décor and a great view. TV picture quality poor though. The shared kitchen is well stocked with crockery and utensils and there’s some nice touches such as a welcome bottle of fizz and choccies and a lovely handmade local soap. But what you’re ultimately looking for is a good bed and a good sleep. We were lucky that the pizza restaurant was closed because it was obvious from the tradie’s radio noise coming up through the floor during the daytime that noise from below will be even more unbearable when it opens.
Recommended for heavy sleepers, earplug wearers (they were supplied) and night owls.

Avoid the Noise
Do not stay here if you enjoy sleep, peace and quiet between 10 pm and 2 am. During these hours for most days of the week the pub just downstairs has the music machine turned up to an extreme, so that the noise is loud in the rooms and the thumping from the machine vibrates the floors and walls.
Our first clue there was going to be a problem was that the bedside tables are issued with earplugs – this suggests the attitude that seems to pervade the place. When I asked the couple that manages or owns the pub to keep the noise down, I was met with chilly indifference. At one point, we were promised that on the next night the noise would be turned down, but the noise level was the same if not louder.
I had to chuckle when I read in the room’s ring binder: “To be considerate to other floor mates, we kindly ask that you keep things on the quieter side after 9 pm.”
This is not a hotel, motel or B&B where you have someone on site to assist your stay. The ring binder states that “…your host does not live in Queen Charlotte City, but she is easily contactable, for any questions, problems, or issues…” Yet, there is no contact information in the place whatsoever.
Despite the nice location, the harbor view, and the well-stocked kitchen, I won’t return here. I think the Inn’s owner needs to decide whether she wants guests or a noisefest between 10 pm and 2 am. Whilst I was there, a few other people complained about the noise to us and then left.

Nice Place, Until About 10 p.m.
This place has nice enough rooms. The kitchen is well-stocked, and has lots of condiments and what not other people have left behind. And on Tuesdays, you can sleep real good, because the pub downstairs is closed. But last night was Wednesday, and the worst music you’ve ever listened to was blaring until midnight. I went outside and, honestly, the whole town must be able to hear it because it’s very small here and it was very loud. I checked Spotify for a playlist called music for people who really hate music, but they must’ve found another one somewhere. Tonight it is 12:45 in the morning, and, while seemingly impossible, even worse music has been playing downstairs since about 10 o’clock and it’s still going on now. These songs must’ve been picked by an AI with a pure hatred for humanity. Also, the two times I have looked in the past two nights, there have been four, maybe five, teenagers inside. That’s all. That’s who the town listens to music for. If you do not mind listening to the worst teenager music from the past 3 1/2 decades, you would probably give this place a four.
