The only thing that we don’t like about Bequia is the fact that it involves a day coming and a day to go back to Canada!
This year we were lucky to be staying at Reef House, high above Industry Bay. There were 10 of us,and the 12 year old did the research to find the place for us. The welcome first night meal was a great idea, as we arrived quite late and couldn’t shop. Callaloo soup, salad and toast, followed by the ubiquitous Bequia dessert, banana bread. I am not sure how many loaves we consumed during our weeks stay- I lost count.
The house was perfect for our needs- 5 bedrooms, two on the kitchen/ great room level, and 3 below on the pool level. Lots of games, puzzles and pool toys for everybody. A very well equipped kitchen with utensils and dishes for every need.
There was a great list of things to do and places to go, many of which the grandparents had already done, but were happy to do again.
All of the adults in the party were afraid to drive on the steep, steep hills and unfamiliar roads, so we used lots of taxies to get to beaches, grocery stores and restaurants.
A good time was had by all!
