My family spent 10 days at Sally's Reef House in Feb. 2023. I cannot begin to describe how unbelievably beautiful this Villa is. It's even more stunning than the pictures. Sally has thought about everything to accommodate her guests to ensure a perfect get away. It's a very unique home and designed perfectly. Bequia is a beautiful island with such kind caring people. Chris, Cassandra and Obediah were most helpful and courteous. Sally kept in touch as well with many great recommendations. I chose Bequia to celebrate my 60th and my retirement. My kids (adults) and their partners everyday commented that each day was better than the last. So happy I chose Sally's and plan to return as soon as I can.

We've visited Bequia many times, but this is our favorite place to stay. It's in the nicest part of the island, close enough to the ocean so that you always have the sound of the surf. The house itself is so relaxing--the outdoor dining area, the veranda facing the ocean, the lovely grounds behind, the pool, the bedroom also facing the ocean with doors we kept open all night long. And great Internet connection (if that's important to you). If you like walking, there are so many quiet roads to walk on in the area. We'll definitely get back in the future!

If you're thinking about renting this house, DO IT! This was our second trip to Reef House (we were there right before covid last time), and we plan on going back every other year (trying out new islands in between). There is a fabulous breeze that comes in from the ocean to keep you cool. The house itself is absolutely stunning, and the views are amazing. It's only a 5 minute walk down the hill to the beach. The homeowners are FANTASTIC to work with, as are the house manager, house keeper, and gardener. The house is only a 10 minute taxi ride into town. I can't recommend this house enough. It's a fantastic experience!!!!!

After searching for an island hideaway, free of rampant tourism and the crowds inherent with the "resort Caribbean," we happened across Reef House on the charming island of Bequia. Reef House's idyllic setting was more than the answer to our search. We whiled away many hours simply enjoying the stunning views; the house is situated on a hill overlooking a pristine beach, which is only a ten-minute walk away, as well as the reef-protected bay. Reef House is masterfully and tastefully constructed to take advantage of the ever-present Caribbean breeze; you'll find yourself debating whether you ever need to leave the house to explore the rest of the island. Should you, however, decide to venture out Mr. Bill at Gideon's Taxi will get you where you need to go. We have visited several Caribbean islands and stayed at several villas, but Reef House by far is the nicest and most elegant. Our stay was greatly enhanced by property manager Chris and his son Obediah, as well as housekeeper and cook Cassandra, all three wonderful people who were a joy to visit with; they most definitely went out of the way to ensure that our stay was enjoyable. The wonderful folks at Gideon's Taxi made sure we had access to Port Elizabeth and other sites; no need to rent a vehicle here. Last but not least, Reef House owner Sally is an absolute joy to work with. There is no part of the Reef House experience that is lacking in excellence; these fine people will take care of you. We are already discussing a return trip to Reef House; there doesn't really appear to be any reason to consider any other destination. Reef House has it all.

We stayed at Reef House for a week in May 2019 for a family vacation. This was our first visit to Bequia and we found Reef House to be perfect for us. It is located on the quiet side of the island with unbelievable views. We had constant breezes keeping things cool and the only sounds were the ocean below and the visiting birds. Very restful. The beach below was basically our private beach for the week. The owner did warn us we would encounter seaweed in Crescent Bay in May, and we did, but if you swim out a ways you are rewarded with some good snorkeling especially on the right side of the bay facing the ocean. A large green moray poked out of the coral to check us out. For better snorkeling visit Princess Margaret on the left end of the beach and Lower Bay on both the right and left ends of the beach. The water is crystal clear. We cooked at home and ate out about equally. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking at home. The owner made several good restaurant recommendations. We found Laura's to be our favorite for dinner. Jack's great for lunch. Lastly, the warm welcome we received from Chris and Cassandra upon arriving at the house completed the perfect experience. They took time to show us around the property, showed our son how to access the WiFi and then left us to enjoy a delicious dinner Cassandra prepared for our arrival. A great introduction to Bequia.

Bequia and Reef House stole our hearts. What a wonderful little island; so beautiful and made all the more special by staying in this beautiful home. While out of the way (not in main town), the island is so small that we made it into Port Elizabeth in 7 - 10 minutes depending on time of day. Nothing is very far away at all and the island is easy to drive. And taxis are everywhere! (Although we’d definitely recommend Gideon!) The owners have done a lovely job - the architecture, the decor, the gardens - all are just perfect. You will not be disappointed in this home. It is perfect for just two or for a large group. It is designed in such a way that, while large, it is not overwhelming for two. In fact, it was just right. Yet there are multiple additional bedrooms to accommodate larger groups.The pool has an exceptional view and gets a full dose of morning sun that seemed to keep the water warm through sunset. Sally, the owner, was so helpful and responsive from beginning to end. Thank you Sally! And the staff - Caleb, Cassandra and Wayne for our stay - were amazingly sweet and helpful. Including Caleb’s extra help with capturing a lost piece of luggage stranded in St Vincent! One night, Cassandra , Wayne and daughter came over with a delicious homemade dinner and my husband and I enjoyed a relaxing evening hanging out at “home” from cocktails through dessert. Very delicious and reasonably priced. Sally provides a lot of information about the island. (Very helpful.) We took her suggested walk from the house up past the turtle sanctuary. Just beautiful and a good morning walk. We also hiked up to Ma Peggy. Fantastic. Great climb; beautiful views. The Friendship Rose trip to the Tobago Cays is not to be missed. You can rent kayaks from the Plantation House and paddle around the harbor or over to Princess Margaret beach. Paddle boards too (you can also get from Jack’s) And just relaxing on the deck with coffee, or drink and book was fun too! Sugar Reef restaurant- a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive from Reef House - is beautiful and delicious. Jefferson and Dawson are great! We had lunch, dinner and take out. Jack’s has great food right on the beach. We had great local food and fun dancing with the staff and local band at The Fig Tree, right on the harbor, on a Sunday night. Frangipani on Thursday evening was fun with the steel drum band. Food decent, but you really go for the music. Bequia Beach Hotel is a great place for lunch when you head to Friendship Bay for the morning, afternoon or day. There are a ton of places to eat and drink on the water or beach throughout Bequia. But one of the best for drinks is Bar One, a floating bar in the middle of the harbor. As much fun to get to as it is to hang out. Kayak from the plantation house. Or call them and they will pick you up from Jack’s dock. Bequia and Reef House are very special for many reasons. We are very thankful to have experienced both the island and the home.

Sallys home is luxurious and casual at the same time. The open floor plan and "outdoor meets indoor" living was very appealing. Chris, the property manager and his wife and son are excellent hosts. The welcome supper and tour of the house when we arrived was great. We all felt at home right away. Chris answered questions promptly during our stay. Our family of 8 had plenty of space to spread out in the house, on the full length balcony and the protected gardens. The only walking we did was down the road to Sugar Reef restaurant, we had 2 fabulous dinners there. Best food on Bequia...for our Group - Fernando's was a very close second place. Our beach days were over at Low Bay, and Princess Margaret Beach - Our kids think Low Bay is their favourite Beach!! Definitely need to rent a car OR use one of the open Pick up Truck Taxis. With our Group of 8 we chose the Taxi, not the rental. With the island only being 5 miles long and 1 mile wide, our Taxi driver and Friend -Noel was never far away. The moment we arrived a Reef house our entire family, two teen age girls, two grandparents and one aunt got a bit emotional because of the extreme beauty. The welcoming host, Chris and his son and Cassandra. We all felt so amazed. Cassandra had the house spotless, Chris and his son showed us around the property and made sure we all knew how to work everything. The woodwork and attention to detail, and craftsmanship in every detail was so charming. The gardens were so fragrant with Plumeria, and”Pride of Barbados” in bloom. Cassandra has a lovely meal ready for us, which was much appreciated since we had traveled far and were tired. It is just over the top beautiful. No room was less beautiful than another, with beautiful 4 poster beds. The breezes kept us very comfortable. We enjoyed the taxi ride to “ princess Margaret beach . The beach at Industry just below the house and lovely to look down on. We loved walking down the STEEP lane to the Sugar Reef restaurant , just down the beautiful lane past a Palm Tree meadow to the beach, complete with contented cow. It is very rural and dream like on the Industry beach side of the island. We loved our day sail on the Friendship Rose, a beautiful old wooden sailboat built right on Bequia. The crew was delightful and even has one of the ships builders on crew. I loved shopping in all the markets and fruitstands. People are so friendly and nice. My granddaughters or a kick out of seeing kids out on the Soccer field one day. My husband and I have been to Bequia several time so it was a treat to show it to our “ people” Thank you Sally for all your correspondence and making our trip amazing. We came from Washington State, flying from Spokane, to Phoenix, to Miami, To Barbados. No leg of the trip was too long . The flight over from Barbados was so fun. We flew over on a 20 seater Twin Otter. When the plane banks and heads toward the green hill, then straightens our to land, and you climb down the stairs, then you know you have come to a very special place. We used every taxi, vegetable stand that Sally recomended, and we had a wonderful time. Maybe too short, but wonderful. When you come , bring less than you think!! You won’t miss it.

Reef House is a gorgeous, sprawling home smartly designed to capture the postcard perfect views. We spent mornings in the pool while it had full sun, and lazing with coffee on the deck. Afternoons were spent in the sunny rear garden feeding the many birds and lizards. Evenings we played Scrabble and watched the stars come out, there's very little light pollution here. No problem with drinking the tap water. We enjoyed the indoor-outdoor design, locking up the main room and walking the garden-lined walkway to the bedroom at night was decidedly tropical. The breezes were very strong and kept the perfect temperature during the day. The sound system was excellent and easy to use with our Apple devices. The house is in good shape and nicely finished. Minor things to keep in mind - Mosquitoes were about so you do need to stay on top of repellent. If you are a light sleeper you might mind the warm nights, bit of wind noise and early sunrise (no AC meant we left the screened bedroom windows open). Sargassum took over Crescent Beach during our February stay which was unfortunate but not a big deal, we spent beach time at the lovely Lower Bay. Taxis were no problem, $30 EC into town. Sugar Reef and its happy hour are less than a ten minutes walk away, the food and staff there are excellent. The dining options in town are many and live entertainment was on offer almost every evening. Sally, Christopher (and his son) and Cassandra were wonderful hosts. We enjoyed our stay and loved Bequia, it was the friendliest, cleanest Caribbean island we've visited.

This is a lovely home that is beautifully constructed and furnished. The house sits on a hill and has a large deck with sweeping views of the coastline and islands. And the large octagonal kitchen/family area is great for entertaining. The impressive heavy wood doors in all the rooms open outward, and the top and bottom can be latched open separately, so that the amount of breeze in the rooms can be controlled to keep the temperature just right during both the day and night. We had many great dinner parties in the large dining hall in the center of the house next to the kitchen that looks out over the ocean. The Sugar Reef restaurant on the bay is walking distance from the house and has great food and rum punches. This house is highly recommended for families and groups of couples who want to spend a week by the sea in beautiful Bequia.
