Fantastic Villa with plenty of room for all 11 of us. Beautiful sea views, great BBQ, pool a bit chilly but still used it a lot, especially the kids. Villa well equipped with virtually all you needed. Friendly welcome, help just a phone call away if needed. In a lovely friendly village, always felt safe & made to feel welcome. Great sea view. Quiet area with small local shops, bars, places to eat and playgrounds for the kids all within walking distance. Supermarket short drive away at the beach where there are more bars & restaurants & a play area. Third time we’ve been to Madeira, it’s a beautiful island and would recommend not just this villa but Arco da Calheta to stay. Seemed to be more reasonable to eat and drink out than I remember from last visits too.

We stayed here as a family of 6 (4 adults + 2 children) during our trip to Madeira and this villa was the perfect base for our trip. The villa is stunning with a view to die for. Its in the sleepy Arco De Calheta town which is around 45 mins from the airport and a similar distance from Funchal. A car would be extremely useful here but there are taxi's available on call or you could book private tours (as we did) who pick you up from the villa. The villa has 5 huge bedrooms with balconies overlooking the oceans, 5-6 bathrooms, a huge kitchen (with everything you need), a beautiful swimming pool, a small gym room outdoors and much more. It can easily accommodate 12-15 people. You have all the amenities needed and though the lack of central heating means the house is chilly in the mornings and late evenings particularly in the winter, there is a decent fireplace in the living room and small electric heaters in the bedrooms to keep the place warm. There is an outdoor barbecue which is great for gatherings by the pool side. The garden is lovely and evenings and early mornings are beautiful looking at the sunrise/sunset out into the vast ocean. Jose and Gorete who manage the property were lovely and provided all the necessary info and help in settling down on the first day. They were always on hand for any questions or help required. There is a beautiful marina with a large superstore in Calheta which is around a 35-45 minute walk / 10-15 min taxi ride. Already missing the place and I'm sure we'll be back soon...

Wow this villa is stunning and luxurious,staff are very friendly and keep the villa spotless, the villa has amazing views overlooking the ocean and we would definitely book this villa again.

Although a little difficult to find once in Calheta, the locals were lovely and actually took us to our destination. The villa is fabulous and even better than the photographs. Ample room for 8 adults and three young children. The weather was just right and although the pool was unseated, it was fine for swimming and playing in the sunshine. The beach is about five minutes drive away and the sea is lovely and clean and comfortable for swimming. Beautiful scenery, lots of local walks. Drive from Funchal goes through lots of different little towns and villages that are well worth a visit. There is every amenity in Calheta i.e. Large supermarket, chemist etc but there is a good local shop near to the villa with all the essentials. The local pub is a short walk up the hill with great food and beers at very reasobale prices. Fabulous holiday - would definitely return. The managers Gorete and Josef were very welcoming and informative and very helpful.
