In deze woning hebben wij een heerlijke vakantie gehad. De woning is fraai ingericht en alles is compleet van bestek tot ligstoelen. De ligging is ook heerlijk al is in november de zon vrij snel achter de berg verdwenen maar dat doet niets af aan het heerlijk kunnen genieten van het zwembad met terras.

We had to unexpectedly extend our stay in Madeira due to the flight situation and we booked The Design House until we were able to return home. The house it's self is really comfortable and feels very homely. The kitchen is well equipped and the location is great. There were only 2 of us but the house would comfortably sleep 6 adults and a couple of children without feeling like you were on top of each other. There is easily enough seating/dining/sunbathing space to accommodate those numbers and board games/PS4 are provided. Only the TV could be upgraded to a more modern smart TV but if you're on vacation, you wouldn't be wanting to watch the TV too much. The view over the banana plantation to the sea beyond is beautiful and the house is located at the end of a no through road so it is very quiet. It's within relatively easy walking distance and a 2 minute drive to Calheta beach/marina where you will find some lovely restaurants and general grocery shopping etc. It's also 2 mins from the highway where you can reach Funchal within 25 minutes. The pool was great, we paid for the heating which was reasonably priced and it was comfortably warm enough to swim even in January. In other homes we had rented before this one, the pools were not heated and ranged in temp between 12 and 16 degrees...... Vanda the house keeper was very nice and available on WhatsApp if we needed anything. The only negative about the house was that there was virtually no phone signal and the internet speed was not great. As we unfortunately had to work while we were there, this caused us a problem but if you were staying at the house on vacation, I think it's certainly something that you could live with.

The house is amazing, high class, with an amazing view and a stunning infinite pool. We spent two weeks with five friends there and we had a great time. We recommend it to our friends. Linda is the prefect host.

The house is really nice and good equipped. But: The Pool heating / cleaning doesn‘t work ; money for nothing. The Communication with „Our Madeira“ was bad! Reaction by mail or letter was „0“.

The Villa is everything it looks in the pictures and more. Set on a beautiful hillside and not overlooked, with fresh fruit that can be picked. An excellent pool (but be aware that there is no real shallow end for children) which we fortunately paid to be heated at that time of the year. We have stayed in several villas over the years and this is certainly in the top few. Car essential to get around, but a great location.

This is definitely my dream property...near-on perfect design and beautifully kept and furnished. The pool is big enough to actually swim in and the garden is a little rough n ready paradise; flowers and fruit hang from bushes, hundreds of lizards sunbathe at every opportunity and heavily hung banana trees frame the lot. Calheta was being worked on while we were there (due to a rock slide I think) and we expect it has improved greatly now and hope to maybe visit again some time (only from THIS villa). The walk from the villa to the supermarket/cafes was a pleasure and we really enjoyed our stay.

Tutto quanto fotografato e scritto corrisponde assolutamente al vero. Un bellissima abitazione posta nel bel mezzo di una piantagione di banane con piscina a sfioro e tranquillità assoluta. Dotazione assolutamente completa di tutto. Pulizia inappuntabile. Check in puntuale e amichevole. Buone vacanze!

This property was stunning, everything you could wish for. Spacious, well equipped and extremely well maintained. Splendid views out to sea with peace and tranquility to enjoy. A perfect holiday destination. thank you. Only comment....parking on drive can be difficult dependent on model/style of car..... steep drive with a twist ?

Sublimes villa et piscine sur la côte sud de Madère, pas loin de la capitale. La gérante Vanda est très professionnelle : elle nous a dépannés le jour même pour des stores bloqués. Si vous n'avez pas de véhicule, le chauffeur de taxi Nelson est vraiment adorable. Mais la voiture est obligatoire pour visiter l'île et atteindre les départs de randonnées dans les levadas. Suggestion pour l'heureux propriétaire de cette maison : des ventilateurs ou un peu d'air conditionné dans les chambres et ce serait plus que parfait...
