Die Villa liegt in einem subtropischen Garten mit fantastischen Ausblick in aufs Meer. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet. In der Küche gibt es ein Backofen, einen großen Kühlschrank und sogar ein Stabmixer und ein Handrührgerät. Der Außen- Grill ist wirklich Deluxe. Ein Schlafzimmer hat ein Ensuite Bad. Die anderen beiden Schlafzimmer, die im Erdgeschoss und im ersten Stock sind, teilen sich eine Eingangstür und ein Bad. Daneben gibt es noch im Eingangsbereich eine Toilette und sogar eine am Pool. Der Pool wird circa zweimal die Woche gründlich gereinigt. WLAN ist gut und schnell, es funktioniert sogar unten am Pool. Dann gibt es noch ein wunderbares Beach House, zu dem man allerdings viele steile Treppen hinab steigen muss. Die Belohnung ist ein vollständiges Häuschen mit Küche, Außen Dusche und Toilette. Der Strand besteht aus sehr großen Kieseln, beziehungsweise Steinen. Als Naturerlebnis des Atlantiks ist er auf jeden Fall perfekt. Die Zufahrt zum Haus ist sehr schmal und steil, tatsächlich nichts für schwache Nerven. Der nächste Supermarkt befindet sich in 10 Minuten Autofahrt in Caleta dort erhält man alles was man braucht, auch frischen Fisch und frisches Fleisch und eine große Auswahl an Gemüse und Obst. Der Kontakt mit der Agentur verlief problemlos und alles ist bestens organisiert. Von dem Standort aus erreicht man viele Wanderungen in 15-30 Minuten. Von allen wunderbaren Ferienhäusern, die wir schon gemietet haben ist das hier mit Abstand das traumhafteste!

Absolut wundervoller Blick aufs Meer. Villa ist sauber und sehr geräumig. Der Pool ist riesig und hat einen traumhaften Blick auf das Meer. Ich kann die Villa absolut weiterempfehlen. WLAN und Ausstattung waren ebenfalls super. Zur Villa gehört zudem ein kleines Strandhaus mit privatem Zugang. Der Eigentümer war sehr nett und gut erreichbar. Wir kommen auf jedenfall gerne wieder.

Sehr schönes Haus mit wunderbarem Garten, Pool und Aussicht aufs Meer. Strandhaus und eigener Zugang zum Strand. Nicht von den Steinen abschrecken lassen, das Wasser ist herrlich. Die Fahrt von der Straße über den Privatweg zum Haus ist nichts für Fahranfänger ( steil und eng ). Wir haben eine wunderbare Woche verbracht, danke auch an Bruno. Unbedingt die Restautants des Eigentümers besuchen,es lohnt sich.

The most beautiful Villa I saw. Me and my friends enjoyed it a lot! Beautiful place, beautiful house, during the day and the night as well. We'll definitely come back.

A totally wow location, the views from the glass balcony were breath taking, the villa a bit quirky and luxurious, very comfortable open plan dinning room and lounge works so well. Listen to the crashing waves at night and drift away into a deep sleep, window shutters keep . The garden to the villa was beautiful and secluded. The pool magical and looking over to the sea whisky swimming was like an infinity pool. The drive down the lane is not for the faint hearted, it didn't bother me but my wife felt a bit anxious going up and down. A great location to explore Madeira.

Wonderful place...stunning views, comfortable, spacious! We now have nerves of steel having mastered the driveway! Beautiful!

We loved this Stunning villa, very beautiful, however suspect man made road to and from the villa very scary and impossible to swim in the sea/private beach.

We spent a very relaxing week with our 12 year old daughter in this amazing place. The villa has everything you need, the heated and illuminated pool was the best we ever had, the property is a beautiful tropical garden, the view absolutely amazing. We actually didn't really want to leave this paradise to buy some groceries or do some sightseeing. Our daily adventure was the steep and narrow path from the main street to the house. Nothing for the faint-hearted and only recommended for self confident drivers. We highly recommend a small and nimble car. Very friendly owner who passes by every other day to clean the pool himself and always left some freshly picked fruits from the garden at the doorstep. The Barbeque is weatherproof and the table beside it has a roof. And there is even a special device to prepare espetadas and serve them at the table. A small pathway leads from the villa to the beach with a lovely beach-house. To make a long story short: It couldn't have been any better!

Wir verbrachten zu zweit zwei Wochen in der Villa Do Mar auf Madeira. Die Villa und der Garten sind wie auf den Bildern zu sehen. Der Platz war natürlich mit der geringen Belegung mehr als ausreichend. Die besondere Lage der Villa auf Madeira mit vorderseitig dem Meer und rückseitig der Felswand führt zu sehr angenehmen Temperaturen auch im Januar. Die Temperaturen fielen nachts gefühlt nie unter 18 - 20 Grad und waren sicher einige Grade höher als zur gleichen Zeit in Funchal oder Calheta. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Unterstützung vor Ort durch die Ansprechpartner (Alberto als Besitzer und Rodrigues als dessen rechte Hand). Eine derartige hervorragende Unterstützung in allen Belangen habe ich bisher in noch keinem Urlaub erlebt. Die Anfahrt zur Villa ist schon besonders, sehr eng und sehr steil - selbst für Madeiraverhältnisse. Nach ein paar Fahrten hat man sich aber daran gewöhnt. Hier ein kleiner Tipp: vor dem Losfahren einmal kurz hupen, damit eventueller Gegenverkehr auch ein Signal geben kann. Man fährt erst los, wenn der Weg wieder frei ist (zweimaliges Hupen des Fahrers sobald man angekommen ist). Umdrehen oder rückwärts Fahren ist auf keinen Fall anzuraten. Auf Anfrage war es möglich unseren kleinen Hund mitzunehmen, aber Vorsicht, es ist Rattengift im Garten ausgelegt. Der Pool wird jeden Tag vom Besitzer früh am morgen akribisch gereinigt, hat uns nie gestört. Poolheizung hatten wir verwendet - dadurch schöne Badetemperatur, wenn auch 24 Grad sicher nur knapp am Mittag und bei Sonneneinstrahlung erreicht werden. Die Küche ist ausreichend aber nicht sehr gut mit Grundzutaten ausgestattet. Alle Gewürze oder Spülmaschinentabs etc. sind selbst zu besorgen - hier wäre etwas mehr schön. Einkaufen ist in Caletha in wenigen Minuten Fahrzeit möglich. Die Restaurants des Besitzers sind auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen, wir wurden vom Besitzer auch jedesmal sehr nett persönlich begrüßt. Der Transport zu den beiden Lokalen (einmal Fisch und einmal Fleisch) wird organisiert - bei Anmeldung am frühen Nachmittag, allerdings ist die Villa etwa 30 Minuten Fahrzeit von den Restaurants entfernt.

We had a very nice stay at Villa do Mar 1, the house is ideal for a large family or even 2 families sharing, it can easily sleep 8, 10 at a push, the garden is fantastic with a very special pool, you will get a out door cook house, with a large BBQ, all utilities, seperate sink with hot and cold and even a pizza oven with enough fire wood to feed a town hot pizzas. Comfy loungers by the pool and even a large hammock. You will also get keys to the private access to your own beach, you do have to share with the other visitors to the other villas and the keen locals who are willing to find the hard way down, most I saw was on the Saturday when about 20 locals made their way down. So what is not to like, well, the drive down to the villa is via a 400mtr long, narrow, twisty lane with what I would guess is a 4 in 1 25% gradient, there are no places to pull in and let others pass, on my first run down I managed to hit the metal fencing with the near side of our car and scratch the 2 doors and pull the bumper part way off, cost to Avis on car return, !020 Euro's, make sure you take out excess insurance on the hire car, first time going back up, I had to reverse 300mtrs back down as a van was coming the other way and the way it is, the vehicle going up, has to give way to the one going down. The property has quite a serious ant problem, the kitchen has tiny ants getting every where, even in the kettle, the lounge has larger ants to feast on you while you watch TV. Lizards live inside as well as out, we saw the picture on the wall move and on closer investigation found 2 lizards behind it getting it on. At least the noises in the night can be explained. You will find Dishwasher, washing machine, etc but you will not have any tablets or instructions for the machines, so you will have to buy a box of at least 40 tabs for 7 day stay. Do not get me wrong, book it and your holiday will be superb but it is not utopia, I would not recommend it to my best freind because I think 1500 Euro's could be better spent but if there are 8 of you, well give it a go.
