Concerning bottled water in the room, we prefer to keep our rates low and have the water on sale instead of giving free water and having high rates as other properties do. Our restaurant (also open to no-hotel guests) offers a wide selection of local and international dishes using always fresh ingredients. Despite that, we are sorry if you did not find anything appreciable and apparently all very expensive. It is your point of view and we respect it.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to explain our rule about food/beverage brought from outside the hotel: HACCP means “Hazard Analysis And Critical Control Points”. This is a systematic preventive approach to food safety from biological, chemical, and physical hazards in production processes that can cause the finished product to be unsafe and designs measures to reduce these risks to a safe level. In this manner, HACCP attempts to avoid hazards rather than attempting to inspect finished products for the effects of those hazards. The HACCP system can be used at all stages of a food chain, from food production and preparation processes including packaging, distribution and delivering. HACCP has been recognized internationally as a logical tool for adapting traditional inspection methods to a modern, science-based, food safety system. According to the HACCP law, we are responsible of what we deliver and offer inside our outlets (restaurant & bar). Therefore we cannot be responsible for what we don’t buy and deliver. That’s why we strongly discourage our guests to introduce food and beverage from the outside and moreover to consume it inside our property.
In our in – room information factsheet you read “It is not allowed to consume food and drinks brought from the outside of the Hotel as we respect the HACCP procedures regarding purchasing and delivering of food and beverage. Therefore, the Hotel cannot be responsible for any inconvenience caused by food and drinks coming from outside of the Hotel. Any leftover found within the room could be subject to an extra cleaning charge up to € 200,00” which is the sum up of the detailed explanation we are providing in here. We can reserve the right to apply an extra cleaning charge up to 200 euro if we find any food & beverage from the outside leftover inside the room. Is an house policy and the guest is clearly advised having the chance to decide what to do and how to do it. We really hope this could help.
Our hotel is 6 km away from the airport, 1 km from the port, 900 mt from the city center and about 800 mt from via Aldo Moro and the city park. We don't really look like in the middle of nothing but it's a matter of perspective I guess. For some guests we are the perfect location as there's no traffic or crowd plus about 1.000 squared meters free parking space and just 10 minute walking from the city center.
