Mooi hotel, direct naast de kathedraal. Direct in het centrum van deze prachtige plaats. Goed verzorgde kamers. Prima ontbijt. Er is geen mogelijkheid om ‘s avonds te eten maar je krijgt direct een plattegrond met adressuggesties en tevens korting in deze restaurants. Er is ook geen bar in het hotel.Kamers zijn netjes en licht ingericht. Fijne inloop douche.

Op het eerste zicht een mooi hotel, maar alles behalve... Wij werden ondergebracht in een bijgebouw waar je uw buren net zo goed kon verstaan alsof ze in je eigen kamer stonden. De badkamer zeer klein en de douche vol met schimmel. Ook aan de ramen hing er schimmel. Het bed was bestemd voor kleine mensen. Wij zijn nu niet van de grootste maar lagen toch met de voeten uit bed. De breedte van het bed was ook maar 120 cm. Het ontbijt was daarentegen wel goed.

Our Burgate annexe is located on the second floor of an older adjacent building, with no lift access, which is why it is advertised as our ‘value’ accommodation and reflected in the reduced rates offered. I would like to assure you that all of our beds are of a standard double in size. Although only two of the bedrooms offers a bath, the rest are all en-suite with showers, as per our website. I am however very sorry that you found some mold - we have investigated this further and whilst this had been fully cleaned, some discolouration to the sealant remained.
Following on from your comments I am pleased to confirm that the window has now been resealed to resolve the problem and we thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Het is een mooi hotel in stijl en naast de Kathedraal, onze kamer had uitzicht op de Kathedraal, heel bijzonder (al stond op dat moment de kathedraal in de steigers, was het nog speciaal) Schoon netjes ruime kamer en groot bed. Vriendelijk ontvangen, aardig personeel. Het ontbijtbuffet is lekker, warme keuze ontbijt werd speciaal voor je bereid. Het hotel ligt ook midden in het centrum. Parkeren bij het hotel en voor de kathedraal. Uniek gelegen en de moeite waard om Cantebury te bezoeken

We hebben al eens eerder hier geslapen en er is niets veranderd .Het is een bijzonderheid om vlakbij de kathedraal te slapen. Helaas ook de herrie Smorgens vroeg is er nog als je in het bijgebouw slaapt. En het was er erg warm.Het was mooi weer ook nog.Er is geen airco.
Ook de douche is aan de krappe kant maar het ging wel. Je moet alleen niet je haar willen wassen je stoot overal tegen aan.
Het ontbijt is en was grandioos

I believe you will have stayed in our Burgate annexe which is adjacent to a public road, so unfortunately noise can sometimes be heard. I do hope you will chose to stay again and would recommend a room in our main Lodge, which is surrounded entirely by the private Precincts.

Midden in Canterbury. Ideaal gelegen op het terrein van de kathedraal. Vooral tegen de Kerst is het een superlokatie voor echte Engelse sfeer. Enige minpunt is het parkeren. Dat kan vrijwel nooit op het terrein zelf, en de omliggende parkeerterreinen kunnen af en toe behoorlijk vol zitten. Je krijgt wel fikse korting op de parkeertarieven.

Please be assured that where possible we will always try to allocate parking within the Cathedral grounds for you - however, due to our location inside the Precincts where parking is limited we must offer this on a first-come basis. We do find that many guests prefer to take advantage of 24-hour parking using the council permit system instead. I appreciate that on this occasion this was not possible for you and can only apologise. I hope that on your next trip here this will be available - please ensure this is requested at the time of booking.
