Als een historisch gebouw, dit hotel is vrij oud. Ik denk dat het dient een aantal renovaties. Toen mijn man vertelde me dat de Japanse king heeft ook hier verbleven, ik ben heel benieuwd naar het verblijf, maar werd vervolgens ontdekken dat hun bezoek was vele jaren geleden.

Dear Guest, Thank you for staying with us at YUNOSHIMAKAN Please accept my sincere apologies for not meeting your expectations on your recent visit with us. We would like to say thank you that we have so many guests from overseas these years. We didn’t have so many foreign guests three years ago. Some of our staffs didn’t speak English at all three years ago, but they can use English words and understand what a guest says roughly for their section now. We don’t say it’s enough to satisfy our guests, but we will appreciate if you understand kindly that our staffs are learning little by little. We have English menu of every months’ basic Kaiseki dinner, but we give it only to the guest who request it. Because we understand that most foreign guests want have very traditional Japanese style at YUNOSHIMAKAN and that’s why they choose our RYOKAN to stay. Most of them enjoy reading Japanese menu . We could give you English menu if you requested it to us, but you didn’t ,maybe because the staff who served your dinner didn’t speak English well. We are sorry that we have only a few staffs who can communicate with English properly. I am one of the two staffs who answered your wife’s call in the front desk. I also apologizes for what happened at your dinner time. About room service call, a female staff in our restaurant is supposed to answer the call usually. But when your wife called, she was busy to serve the customers in the restaurant and a male cooking staff took the phone .He can take order in Japanese, but English. The female staff at front desk, she can understand mostly what a guest speaks in English ,but she doesn’t understand details about menu in English and she cannot speak English well when it comes complicated things. These caused your wife had to call again and again and took her time. We are deeply sorry that make her feel bad. We are going to keep trying our best to gratify our guests. We hope you will give us another opportunity to serve you, and it would be my pleasure to assist you.

Ik heb onlangs reisde naar Yunoshimakan met mijn vriendje en we hielden zijn tijd hier. Het personeel was erg snel het mailen ons vooraf zelfs aangeboden om onze bagage op te halen van de Gero treinstation vóór de check - in tijd dus we konden vrij de stad verkennen. De ryokan

Is the onsen also open for people nog staying in the hotel?
Thank you for sending a question to us. Our spa opens for non- staying guest between 1:00pm~2:00pm everyday. It costs 1,000YEN per person. We will give you a small towel. Sometimes we may have sudden maintenance, so it will be better for you to call us or send an email to make sure on the day you come. ※Our hotel will close between 15th June to 21st June. We are looking forward to seeing you.

hi , how to I get from takayama to this gorgeous hotel
The easiest way is probably to take a train from Takayama to Gero. Trains run quite frequently and the journey takes less than an hour. A one-way ticket costs 970 yen. Do arrange for pick up with the hotel when you make your reservation because it is perched at the top of a hill. The driver will meet you as you exit the train station. You can even send you bags up with him first and catch a later ride to the hotel after exploring the town and eating lunch.
