Hello, I apologize if the Inn did not meet your expectations. I would like to make a few comments, not to make excuses, but simply to give you our point of view. As you noted, all units at the Inn are privately owned and uniquely furnished and decorated by their owners. Perhaps your tastes were not compatible with the particular owner in the room where you stayed. Our one-bedroom suites and studios both have a full kitchen. The bedroom units have a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Room service is available in any room. The Inn is Oregon’s only resort hotel built right on the beach, so all rooms are oceanfront, including bedrooms, with floor-to-ceiling windows. Many rooms have a balcony, some of which are quite large. I feel it would be difficult to find a much better situation to enjoy the spectacular ocean views. But again, it depends upon what you are looking for. I am glad you found Fathoms, our 10th-floor oceanfront restaurant and bar. All of our desserts are made in-house. Plus, we offer cinnamon rolls, fresh fruit muffins and biscuits for breakfast, which is clearly printed on the menu. We do have disability parking spaces in front of the hotel and a ramp from those spaces located on the south end of the parking lot in front of the Inn. There is also loading/unloading temporary parking area as well. And, we have complimentary valet parking. We are most happy to provide any guest with a ride to/from their car and drop them off as close as possible to our front door. I’m sorry you did not find the spaces or you were not aware of our valet services. I hope you have a speedy and successful recovery from your surgery. If you are on this part of the coast again, I hope you will give the Inn another try. Our goal is to help all guests enjoy the Inn and this exceptional part of the world. Thank you for sharing your experience while visiting the Inn. Lisa White, General Manager

Hello, Thank you for this lovely post about the Inn. The owners and our staff are dedicated to making each guest’s experience the best it can be. Personally and carefully decorated rooms. Attention to detail as each unit is cleaned and readied for the new occupants. Plenty of parking with outstanding valets. A quick elevator ride to miles of sandy beaches and nearby tide pools. Fun lodging packages and lots of hotel amenities. And a full-service oceanfront 10th-floor restaurant and bar. I don’t think you missed a thing the Inn offers to create a wonderful destination on the Oregon coast. And I am pleased we were able to find you a room with a balcony. Now and then occupancy changes and we will do our best to honor initial requests that may not have been possible when reservations were first made. But again, all rooms, including bedrooms, have floor-to-ceiling windows so spectacular views are always easy to find, with or without a balcony. I hope you are able to return again. Beginning October 14, 2017, Lincoln City will once again sponsor Finders Keepers. Through May 28, 2018, more than 3,000 handblown official glass floats will be placed on the beach, including the Inn’s beach. Special glass drops also occur through this period, such as sand dollars, crabs, seas stars, shells and coins. It’s such fun to find one! Of course, there are so many other things to do in area. There’s amazing hiking trails through old growth timber, beautiful meadows and many offering breathtaking views of the mighty Pacific Ocean. There are cultural opportunities, antique shops and whale watching (a resident pod often seen throughout the year in front of the Inn, plus two migrations in December and March). Or blow your own glass float! Thank you again for staying at the Inn and letting others know how much you enjoyed your stay. Lisa White, General Manager

Hello Mickee, I sure can’t take credit for the perfect weather or the beautiful sunsets you experienced while staying here at the Inn, but I’m pleased we were able to deliver on all those amenities we can take credit for. The Inn is Oregon’s only resort hotel built right on the beach, so all rooms are oceanfront, including bedrooms. And all rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows so you can thoroughly enjoy those sunsets, as well as all the sights and sounds of the Pacific Ocean from your room. Access to the beach is easy from all floors of the Inn too. It’s simply an elevator ride down to the first floor and a few steps outside our backdoor. As a condominium hotel, the Inn’s rooms are privately owned and uniquely furnished and decorated by its owner, so comfortable beds are a must! And our housekeeping staff is one of the best, if not THE best, around. The Inn’s entire staff is dedicated to ensuring each guest feels at home and can enjoy every moment while on the Oregon coast. I’m delighted you found our 10th-floor oceanfront restaurant and bar, Fathoms, while you were here. It’s open seven days a week and serves breakfast, lunch, dinner along with our seasonal Champagne Brunch being served every Sunday through September 10th this year. Don’t forget, you can also enjoy room service. Thank you for choosing the Inn while visiting the Oregon coast and thank you for letting others know about your stay. We hope you can return to the Inn again soon. Lisa White, General Manager

Hello Steve, Thank you for an awesome review! Many guests tell me that an overnight trip to the coast must include three things: the ability to see and HEAR the ocean, a comfortable bed and good food. You didn’t mention the beds, but it seems the Inn delivered on the sights and sounds of the Pacific Ocean. We are delighted we could do that for you. The Inn is Oregon’s only resort hotel built right on the beach, so you can’t beat the spectacular views. All our rooms, including bedrooms, are oceanfront with floor-to-ceiling windows and many have a balcony. You can see up and down the coast for miles and it’s said, you can actually see the curve of the earth from our upper floors. I don’t think it gets much better than that for experiencing this incredible part of our world. Were you able to get out on the beach and find the nearby tide pools? Or look for agates at low tide? Spot a seal bobbing in the waves or a whale spouting further out in the ocean? An elevator ride down to the first floor and a few steps out our backdoor make it easy to get out on the sand and enjoy a long stroll or fly a kite. The Inn is a wonderful destination property but you can find plenty of other activities, like hiking, concerts, shopping, glass-blowing opportunities, antiques and more close by too. Thank you again for letting us know about your stay at the Inn. May your travels bring you back this way again soon. The waves and the views are waiting. Lisa White, General Manager

Hello, Oh how I love spontaneous getaways! And how delighted I am you chose the Inn for yours. As you mentioned, the Inn is a magical place in many ways. It’s built right on the beach and nestled securely against a bluff. All rooms are oceanfront with floor-to-ceiling windows so the sights and sounds of the ocean literally are right outside. Glorious sunsets can amaze our guests. Whales often appear in the waters in front of the Inn. Flocks of pelicans and other sea birds cruise by for everyone's entertainment. The Inn’s easy beach access make long strolls on the beach so relaxing. And the refreshing sea air is just the thing for a good night’s rest. Our units are individually owned, furnished and designed by each owner. There is no cookie-cutter approach here, which offers a unique setting each time you visit the Inn. And yes, parking is also unique here due to our oceanfront location. But we offer complimentary valet parking for those who may not want to make the walk to park. I hope you had the opportunity to enjoy our 10th-floor oceanfront dining room and bar, Fathoms. More spectacular views (some say you an see the curve of the earth from here) and a wide selection of seafood, steaks and other Northwest cuisine. Fathoms is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and our seasonal Sunday buffet. Room service is also available. I invite you to return again soon, spontaneous or planned, to soak up more of the magic here at the Inn and on the Oregon coast. Lisa White, General Manager

Is this hotel a good place to watch the whale migration in December 2018?
I think you might have better luck with watching the whales at Depot Bay. They actually come in very close and you can observe from up on the stone walled walk area with comfort.

Is this hotel a good place to watch the whale migration?
It is. The Sand Castle is also great for spotting whales while staying in rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows. it took a while to get the new app. I hope this was timely (?)

do you allow a dog
No, they do not allow dogs. We left ours with our Son during our visit. The Inn is comprised of individual Condo's so its understandable that the owners don't want pets in their places.
