The room was very clean. The maids were working around the clock and their hard work showed. The rooms were small. And the bathroom very outdated. Small sink with no room for toiletries. The beds were very comfy tho. The location is perfect. Quick walk up to the boardwalk. The pool was nice and the outdoor sitting area was comfortable. We were able to use one of the two grills on the premise to make dinner. We made ourselves at home and enjoyed spending 4 days there! As long as your ok with a typical beach motel with no frills attached you should be happy here.
The room served its purpose. It was relatively clean, but dated. The bath water comes out like iced tea but then clears.. beds were comfortable. Typical WW motel room. It was on the smaller side. I don't see how 4 ppl can comfortably stay but for 2 friends. It was fine. As far as amenities, it comes with a mini fridge & microwave. No hair dryer. The pool was clean and relatively warm. Parking only worked for us bc I parked and didn't move it for the entire stay. 20 or so rooms, 8-10 spaces. The later you get back to the room, the chances of a space are slim. We were close to the boardwalk and Old City Pub was across the street. We were close enough to walk to the Shamrock and the deck. So location was pretty good. I'd stay again.... again, the room served its purpose..
Pros - Good location only 1/4 mile from the boards. Right between the two best piers so that's nice. Cons - Very old motel, fairly clean but that's about it. Shower didn't work right, sink was tiny and dirty. very outdated decor. Light switches were from the 50's so undoubtedly the wiring is too. No coffeemaker. Very bare amenities. Only got 2 small scratchy towels. But the worst is the check-in policy- I got there 2 hours before check-in so I wasn't expecting a room, but you gotta ask anyway. Sure enough I'm told there's a room available, but they would charge me $25 to go there. Check my Trip Advisor, I've stayed in literally hundreds of rooms across the country and I've never been told my room was ready but I cant go there yet until I pay them $25. I would have rather been told no, there's not a room until your check-in time, plain and simple. Instead I got some low-class money grab. I think it's pretty scummy to tell a person right off the road yeah, unless you give us $25 you can go sit outside your already-made room until the clock strikes 2:00. Which brings me to me next point- Check-in is at 2:00, and check out is at 10:00am. They actually give you only 20 hours as a full stay if you are only doing an overnight. I hate to tell them, but there's 24 hours in a day, and typically you can get a room for at least 22 of them. Just another way of them trying to snivel a lousy $25 out of you.…
I stayed here when it was the Alton Motel, the previous owners were so friendly, I came back to find out that there were new owners and the renovation were great and needed. We had such a great stay due to the staff and especially Megda. This place is very close to the beach and boardwalk and the maids kept our room smelling and looking good. We enjoyed it so much we had the whole family book rooms for our end of the summer getaway, again the maids were great and Megda once again showed us what a phenomenal work she was. I stay in many places in Wildwood especially North Wildwood but because of her and the maids hospitality, friendliness and work ethics, I will continue to come back......They all deserved a tip. Thanks so much.
Not too bad of a place to stay, location was pretty good when it comes to closeness of the beach. The room smelled pretty clean when we checked in, but the bathroom was very outdated, with no counter space, but that we could deal with. One night the power went out for a while and no one had air conditioning or anything which was BRUTAL. Though, it was not the hotels fault there was no peace of mind or communication from the office and nothing was done for the visitors to help make up for it. The next night there was no parking for our vehicle, though we were promised parking the entire time. The parking lot is also extremely small and very very difficult to park in. We were put on the street with a parking permit, we were glad we had that accommodation but we didn’t exactly want to leave our vehicle on the street. Overall wasn’t terrible, but probably wouldn’t stay again for the price we paid.…
