We didn't have any high expectations and it lived up to that. So very basic place. Grass for the tents, bathrooms and shower which worked. Two buildings, one for cooking and one for eating in. Very basic but it worked. Very close to wildlife game drive area.
The Seronera Camping Ground is a public campground, the amenities block was disgusting and had been vandalised and was dirty. There was very little water for a shower and having a hot shower was just a dream. The urinals stunk of stale urine and toilets looked like they hadn't been cleaned in days. The doors on the shower needed some maintenance and there was nowhere to hang your clothes while taking a cold shower. The amenities block at the Ngorongoro Crater were clean and had warm showers; so it can be done. Unfortunately, we were on a budget tour and had to endure two nights here.
not so classic camping . it has all facilities - dining room/building, toilets, even shower. the camp has no fences and you are really just in the wild , at night it was normal to hear all kinds of animal sounds (hyenas, buffalos ....) one evening during dinner we saw a hyena casually walking around maybe five meters from the dining building, we saw a buffallo not more than three meters from the toilets just standing there chewing grass, there were cheetahs maybe fiffty meters from the camp our driver even warned us to be careful going to the toilet during the night . we slept in classic tents . quite the adventurous camp something I definitely will remember
