Das Personal im Hotel ist sehr freundlich und stets für einen Tipp zur Verfügung. Besonders die Restaurant Tipps waren sehr gut. Das Zimmer war etwas klein, allerdings alles sauber. Beim Frühstück gab es eine gute Auswahl, allerdings standen die Tische für corona Zeiten etwas nah bei einander. Die Lage ist sehr gut. Es ist etwas teuer, daher preisleistung eine Schulnote 3 Ich würde das Hotel wieder buchen.

Good Location, simple but good breakfast and quality of the room has been great for the price. What makes the hotel excellent is the stuff. All of them are awesomely helpful especially Stefano! It’s possible to reach every sightseeing point of venice within walking distance.

Nice hotel with reasonable pricing. Very friendly staff and clean rooms. The basic rooms are a little bit small though. Nevertheless we had a room with a nice and big bathroom. Location is great. The breakfast area is too small, if sitting outside is not an option. Especially during COVID this is a problem.

Stayed here for a week... possibly the cleanest hotel room I have ever come across ... no dust anywhere. We had a triple room which was towards the back of the hotel which unfortunately didn’t have a view but was very comfortable. Typical Italian breakfast but was sufficient .. again all very clean and adhering to Covid regulations. Tammy was always very helpful and had a smile. Reception staff really helpful with good recommendations for places to eat. For a three star hotel it was a really good standard, perfect location only a few minutes walk to the attractions. Would definitely stay again.

l’ hotel è situato in una buona posizione, a pochi passi da Piazza San Marco. Il personale è il punto forte dell’ hotel, è estremamente gentile e cortese. La camera è molto carina e pulita ed è dotata di un lussuoso bagno. Per quanto riguarda la colazione, nonostante la qualità sia buona, vi è una scelta limitata dei prodotti, peccato, sarebbero state 5 stelle.. Nel complesso davvero un buon hotel, super consigliato.

The hotel is open as normal, some restaurants and bars are close but the most are open.

Alilaguna website 25 euros return trip swap paper copy for tickets at the booth walk down to the ferry terminal . We got off at Rialto as this was a great way to see the city and get bearings ... when you get off walk up towards the bridge and keep going until you see the large Tedeschi dept store .. turn right down that street then put on your satnav and it will take you through an archway named San Marco and then across 1 bridge basically hotel skandinavia lies between San Marco and Rialto . Once you walk it a couple of times you will easily get your bearing . The acqua Alta Libreria is a short walk up the small street in between the hotel and the wee bar with a visit.

Water taxi is the best way you can buy your tickets at the airport either at the machine or at the taxi office at the port. When you get at the stop hospital walk right for about 5 minutes then take the 1st left walk down by the hospital when you get to the end go left again then turn right at the pastry shop over the bridge go right then left walktothe end turn right walk for about about 5 minutes. You will need a good torch as it is very dark

You have 2 options. There is a 24 hour waterbus that can take you to stop 2 Rialto but it’s then a 8-10min walk this is the most economical way. However, not sure if you have been to Venice before, it’s mostly cobblestone and you can get lost very easily for the first time.
The best way is a private water taxi (very quick) especially if it’s your first time and travelling at night. There were four of us (2 kids) so we paid $109 AUD and the water taxi took us to the closest canal to Hotel Scandinavia and it was a short walk from there. We used Venice Link to book it. Hope this helps. George
