We used the Club Mobay service so arrival to departure was seamless. The resort is beautiful, though there are a few surface blemishes that need some work. The staff are extremely friendly, specifically Aisha and Holahee from the Loyalty and Rewards program; Jamheela and Andre gave exceptional tours of the facilities; Melissa (beautiful vocals), Israel (beautiful vocals), Delano (excellent drummer and all around fun young man), Panda is an outstanding MC and dancer/entertainer, the steel drum band, the jugglers and the limbo performer were very entertaining. Simone deserves her own spotlight, she is an extremely talented mixologist. Everything she made for us was delightful and refreshing. She was off our last full day and we missed her expertise and friendly personality! The rooms were cleaned daily by the wonderful housekeeping staff and the meals were imaginative and delicious. The culinary team is exceptional. I do have suggestions for the beach area, the lounge chairs are very uncomfortable and the cabanas need new covers with the mesh around the bottom instead of being over head (I think some were put onto the frame upside down). The sand needs to be deeply raked so it's more even for walking, there were hard steep hills in the sand from the cabanas to the water and the sand needs to be built up by the steps so it's not such a steep drop down. I would like to share my recent experience as a returning Sandals consumer. This is based on my family of 4’s stay at Beaches Ochos Rios from August 21-25. Prior to arriving (late July) I booked a Sesame character breakfast for 8/23. That was the only date available according to the website between the dates of my stay according to the website. Initially, I wasn’t able to book via the website. I called, spoke to a representative and booked for 8/23/23 with a human being via telephone. I didn’t receive an documentation of my booking until a week later, after I called to request confirmation. Upon arrival at the resort on 8/21 my family was not offered a welcome drink or a cool cloth as I’d experienced with a previous Sandals stay. I thought Beaches did not offer that welcome until I saw other guests being greeted in that way when I visited the lobby the following evening. Upon checking in I was immediately informed that my character breakfast has been rescheduled to 8/25/23…the morning my family was scheduled to depart the resort. I informed the representative of this, and was told that she would get back to me. She did not. I had to visit the front desk a total of two more times to be told it would take 21 days for a refund to be processed. Since my family booked the concierge suite, our representative walked us to a room. When we arrived, she realized that it was the wrong room and left us to wait for her at night, in the dark, outside, in the heat, under attack by mosquitoes, while she went back to get the correct room keys, I guess. This took approximately 10 minutes…in the dark, hot, buggy, environment outside. During our stay, we were underwhelmed with the choices of food at restaurants (the descriptions given on menus did not match what was served at the Italian restaurant) and the wait for all restaurants was far more than should be acceptable. This was especially true at Out The Blue, where we waited more than 30 mins for someone to take our order. It took about 45 minutes to receive appetizers for 3/4 members at the table. The 4th person’s appetizer never arrived. As if the aforementioned were not enough to show that paying customers are not valued on this resort, what I’m about to write may border on criminally negligent: I was injured on the property on 8/24 because of concrete that was missing near the water park/pool area. I tripped on the area that was missing and INJURED MY FOOT. After limping around, I sought medical care at the nurse located on the resort. I was sent there by an employee who said there is a nurse available around the clock. I arrived at about 8:15 pm to no one available and a sign that said the nurse leaves at 5:00 pm. My fiancée informed the front desk, who told him that I should go back because someone would be there. I arrived back at the same time the nurse was coming in and exclaimed “good, you’re here, the front desk called you”. I was curtly informed that she wasn’t called by the front desk and questioned about why I was there. I told her what happened and showed her my foot. By this point, my big toe/top of my foot was visibly very swollen. I explained what happened and what it felt like. She applied a musculature cream to it. I again explained what it felt like and told her that I thought it might be broken. She asked if I had any painkillers in my room. I again told her it felt broken and asked her if minimally, she could buddy tape it to the next toe to keep it stable, which she did…after I asked for it. I was never offered pain medication, she, nor anyone else, asked if I thought I needed to go to the hospital. No one offered me information about a hospital or a doctor to be seen. Luckily, my family was scheduled to leave the resort the next day. As we were in the van leaving the resort an employee came on to ask if I was ok. I told her I thought it was broken. I visited an urgent care facility to get an x-ray as soon as I was able to upon arriving home. The toe is BROKEN. Things get happen, people get hurt but the literal insult added to the injury was the treatment afterwards that is absolutely abhorrent.…

One Love. That sums up my family vacation this last week. My family, wife of 20yrs and 3 grown children ages 15 16 and 18 daughter is the oldest and off to college in 2 weeks. The brothers are going to really miss big sis and this was a last minute getaway. Panda/Titi!!!Patrice, Michael and Capt K on the glass bottom boat Evey and Capt Jack Sparrow from the local fishing village. Dunns River Catamaran DJ and the whole crew! One Love.!Thanks for allowing my family some quality time together in your beautiful paradise. Irye!!

AMAZING TIME! From the time we were received at the airport to the time we left we had a blast. Let me start with my OUTSTANDING and very knowledgeable wedding planner, Toniann. This young lady is was very hands-on with my vow renewal. She was very approachable, she not only listened but heard me and did better than I expected. She went above and beyond. My family loved her and her infectious smile. She makes me want to renew my vows every week. The entire bartending, restaurant and housekeeping crews were awesome. The front desk staff are so welcoming, not the night managers do much but the rest of the staff. Joanne from loyalty is just awesome. The young ladies booking the excursions are great. The manager at the salon, Auntie you are amazing. Next time we come back I'll be looking for hugs. Toniann Thank you for treating my family like we were yours. Jewel…
