We paid to stay at this property as part of a package holiday via Expedia holidays. On arrival at the property we were asked to make a payment again, because the owner of the property had not received payment for our stay. We showed the owner our details that we had paid and she informed us that she had not received payment for us and further she had never heard of 'Expedia.com,' even though her property is advertised or marketed on Expedia. She said that all her guests usually pay her in cash on arrival. She is only accustomed to reservations via Booking.com and Booking.com usually pay her via paypal. I had to contact Expedia to speak to her to clarify things. Expedia informed her that we had paid and that no further payment should be imposed on us. An email had been sent to her for her to activate her EVC number, so that she could receive payment. As she had not checked her emails before we arrived and activated her code, her payment was still sitting and waiting for her to do the needful. Eventually we were allowed to check into our room. The following morning when we attended for breakfast, I was told that I could have breakfast but my mother was not allowed to, because breakfast is only limited to one guest, even though the property was a bed and 'breakfast' and my mother had also paid for her stay. After making a complaint, the girl in charge of making breakfast reluctantly made breakfast for my mother and informed us in a rude manner that she will be speaking to the owner to see if further breakfasts should be made each morning for my mother? We could not believe what we were hearing! The breakfast itself was not all that. It will definitely need to improve. It was half a sausage, egg, chilli beans, 2 slices of bread, cereal, tea and watered juice. It was tasteless and was the same every morning. No variety!The girls who made the breakfast had little skills on how to make a good breakfast, they did not even know how to make a scrambled egg or toast. Simple things appeared too complicated and took too long to prepare. It was better for one to make it themselves.The fridge which is supposed to be stocked up with drinks for guests to buy was empty for a few days. Everything is supposed to be replaced when the owner comes to the guesthouse and if the owner does not come there, you will die of dehydration because everything is at a standstill. You are better off going to Airport Junction shopping mall and buying a stock of your own drinks from their checkers supermarket. The drinks are actually cheap there in comparison to what is sold at the guesthouse if in stock.There are no local supermarkets nearby. You can get to Airport Junction either with their hired driver for 50 Pula each way, which is a total rip off. The driver also only allows you 30 minutes at the mall, the longer you stay the more he imposes charges. You are better off taking their local commuter bus which will cost you about 5 pula each way and you can spend as long as you want at the mall. Just remember where you pick up the bus and the surrounding property so that when you are coming back you know when to get off the bus. The point where you pick up the bus there is no bus stop as such.The locals are quite friendly and helped us to find the bed and breakfast when we got lost as there is another Block 10 which is not quite where we were staying. We have our german friend to thank about local commuter buses. They are much cheaper and easier to get around with. The property is in a residential suburban area and the street itself is frequently visited by stray goats. The property has a large kitchen with all facilities to cook food for conferences, but I think you will need to find a good chef/caterer to do the food! For lunch after buying our own meat and vegetables, we made our own lunch and dinner. However, after a few days the owner decided to tell my mother that we can no longer cook at the property, despite other guests doing the same. We were told that we could only make use of the microwave and not the cooker. When the property was advertised at the time it stated that cooking facilities were available. After confronting the owner about this she said that she will be revising things, and perhaps she ought not to have breakfast available at all amongst other things, in order to make life easy for herself. We really did not have a pleasant stay at this bed and breakfast. The only good thing about this property is this, it is super clean. Our room was ok, with private bath facilities. There was free wifi but the wifi frequently did not work in the room and so one had to come out and sit in the lobby for better wifi. There are no conference rooms, but there is a large table in the lobby that can be used for conferences. I feel that the breakfast served at this property will need to improve, the fridge should be fully stocked up with cold drinks to accommodate the guests, the staff need to have better communication skills and knowledge of various tours that guests can do during their stay. There is nothing by way of leaflets which shows guests various activities that they can do in the country or city, for example, safari tours. The owner needs also to familiarise herself with all agents who are marketing her property to ensure that what is being advertised is what guests will be receiving. She needs to know how to receive payments from the agents marketing her property instead of chasing the guests for payment who have already made payment throughout their stay. The airport shuttle driver needs to revise his charges to Airport Junction shopping mall and not impose a time limit of 30 minutes after one has paid him 50 pula which is quite a lot of money. It is not good customer service to rush people. This bed and breakfast if managed well can be a good place to stay. I shall be sticking to hotels in the future when coming to Africa. The experience we encountered at this property has put me off from ever staying in a bed and breakfast ever again in Africa. It was my first time staying in a bed and breakfast in Africa and my last! It is ok for a short stay but definitely not a long stay. If you are planning to stay longer it is worth you renting your own car to drive around. I do not think that this bed and breakfast is a good place to bring children! I do hope that the owner is now familiar with receiving guests booked via Expedia and now knows how to receive her payment via Expedia, so that people booking via Expedia can have a pleasant stay.…

I booked the guest house for two nights for two people (husband and I) a week before the trip. Instead of getting a double bed as a couple, we were given two single beds and told that they don't have a double bed available or a bed converter. The room has a headboard that is not fitted properly on the wall, so it kept moving when one moved and we could even hear the other rooms headboards move during the night, which was terrible. The floor was dirty. The room we slept wasn't an en-suite, so we had to share the bathroom with other guests. This was also an inconvenience. The breakfast was terrible. It was two slices of bread, eggs and a mixture of beans and onions, and an unappetizing sausage. The beans mixture was cooked. They offered us tea, and we had to ask for juice, but they came and fetched it back while we were still eating. Instead of sleeping for two nights, we ended up asking to leave for the second night and found an alternative place to sleep. I was really disappointed because the images online don't represent the reality.…
