We have booked a room for 7 nights in March via lastminute - are there any extra costs upon check in that I should know about? Thanks in advance.
I would just be wary when you checkout. You will need to check your statement. I was charged over $800 and when I questioned it, I was told that the site "didn't charge me enough" when I paid and booked online. I had to dispute it with staff to get it resolved, and it was very stressful. The charge hung around on my credit card for a week before it came off.
Give yourself enough time to checkout so that you can review your checkout statement and dispute extra room charges if necessary.
The front staff is really nice, but the whole financial piece is iffy and untrustworthy.
Nope. They will ask for a deposit for incidentals but thats it. Hope this helps!
I paid on line also before I checked in, and there were no additional charges on my bill when I checked out. In fact they were very accommodating by putting our luggage in a secure room while we toured NYC after we checked out and picked it up later that day.
They do a pending charge for ancillary charges but it never goes through. I have stayed there many times. You should always check your invoice when you check out.
For our stay they put a charge on the card as a form of deposit, which showed as pending on online banking and was then cancelled a few days after we returned. It did state on our booking confirmation (from Expedia) that a deposit would be taken at the hotel on check in. The desk staff explained what was happening, but as Tiffany H had a different experience YMMV. Hope that helps
