It is possible to make the trip by public transportation there is not far away from it a train station.

Information about that you can find probally on the internet or ask at the train station information

I think everyone else has answered your query. This is one of the few attractions you might prefer to take the train over a car.

It was one of the stops on our River Cruise. We walk there from the Port.

We arrived there via a train ride to trinelheven and ferry to ziuderzee museum

It takes about 50 minutes to get to Enkhuizen by regular train from Amsterdam Centraal or Amsterdam Sloterdejk. Then you can follow blue signs with a boat to get to the ferry from the station. Or you can walk from the station alongside the harbour, about 20 minutes if you don't hurry (following the signs, too).

Pretty much the same answer as everyone else. It takes about an hour by train to get to Enkhuizen. This gives you a chance to see some of the countryside of the Netherlands. Once you arrive at the train station, the information center is just across the street and you can buy your tickets for the museum there. I took the ferry to the museum and walked back. This gave me a chance to see the cute Enkhuizen harbor and enjoy a quiet walk through the charming town. You can look up train times using the Netherlands train website,ns.nl/en/travellers/home. Buy a round-trip ticket in Amsterdam to save a few Euros. I hope you enjoy the museum!

The trains run quite frequently-- looks like every hour or half hour depending on the time of day. Google this for more details: "train: amsterdam to enkhuizen." The ferry to the outdoor museum conveniently leaves from right near the Enkhuizen train station. The ferry is free with your museum ticket (which you can buy from the vvv near the Enkhuizen train station), but you can also walk to the museum if you prefer.

you can also walk to the museum, but it is far more interesting to catch the ferry, tickets are from the tourist information shop, out of station and turn right, ferry stop just past the shop, look out for the blue signs / flags!

About one hour by train from Amsterdam to Enkhuizen. Then catch the short journey on the museum ferry across the harbour. Only about 100m from platform to ferry.
