A nice enough stretch of beach, with plenty of sand. It helped that it was raining when we went so not many people were about!
There are some nice wee metal sculptures about on the path around the bay. Worth taking a moment to see them.

Nice little stoney beach in a bay in front of the shops . Large cliffs make it quite stunning. Nice place to walk round. Small cafe and shops on high street nearby. Free parking

This is a lovely crescent-shaped beach of 1.1 km that starts at the northern harbour end , and curves round to the little hamlet of Cowie Village. The boardwalk not only has great views looking over the bay, but is lined with fantastic ship & maritime-related metal sculptures by local artist Jim Malcolm. Stones, shingle and sea-gulls predominate on this beach, but there are patchy sandy areas to be found. At the Cowie end it’s much more rocky. The promenade is only minutes walk from the town, and there are a few popular cafes , a “chipper” , amusement pavilion & ice-cream shop en-route , as well as seating areas. There are also two attractive little bridges respectively crossing the Carron Water and the Cowie Water as they flow into the sea. It’s a great beach for strolling along , blowing away cobwebs and promoting a good mood .

Predominantly a shingle beach but loads of little sandy bits to enjoy when tide is out. Spent 4 days in stonehaven, most of it walking the beach with my dog who loved it as much as we did. Views are stunning day and night the promenade and boardwalk are also lovely and definitely worth a visit. Can't wait to return.

This is such a lovely beach! It has a great promenade from the top of the beach where cafes are right to the harbour. We had fabulous weather dry and sunny so made the views spectacular. Well worth a visit.

Thoroughly enjoyed walking along the seafront, and the boardwalk which borders the beach .
Great sculptures there too.
The seal and dolphins filled with pebbles are gorgeous, and the sea sculture bankies are such fun!! Spongebob, fishes - all manning sea vessels, planes and the lighthouse. So much detail - would love to own one!

The boardwalk along the beach is having some work done so there were some metal barriers and work noise going on. The bits that have already been worked on are lovely. The beach is clean, quiet and huge. There is a mixture of sand and rocks. There are models to look at for the kids along the boardwalk. Easy parking.
