What a great little park with both an ocean view (beach) and a bird sanctuary. It's not big and parking is fairly limited but it's nicely sheltered so the sun warms you up and the birds are chirping!

Visited this spot after doing some hiking earlier in the day and went to go relax with the dogs on the beach! Walked along the trail to the end and relaxed just watching the waves come in while the sun shone down on us! We saw eagles, herons, seals and more in our short trip! Makes an excellent picnic spot or afternoon relaxation break!! If you have a couple hours to relax then this might be the place for you! Super easy to find, dead flat and not many people when we went!

This is a great stop if you are looking to get down to the beach without a big hike. There is a hiking trail if you want it but there is also a very accessible beach front. A well maintained path that most wheelchairs or walkers could handle will take you to a couple of benches where you can look out on the water. For those without mobility limitations you can walk along the beach. It is rocky though so be prepared! It is very pretty and peaceful. Along the path there are a number of signs that explain the marshland which we found very interesting. There were a few people who were set up for the day, lounging on the driftwood reading their books when we got there, and I can see why. This is a great little slice of contentment that you don’t have to work too hard to find.

My only warning is that the turn off the highway is a sharp right to get on to the road. If you can do so safely, slow down well before the turn so you don’t have to do the race car moves we had to do!

Great place to just lay out in the sun and relax! Partner and I went there in the middle of the day on a weekday and moved further down the path and had a bit of a nice spot to ourselves.

On the day we went it was quiet, not many people at the beach. But the parking lot was quite full. I guessed they went hiking. There is a nice aerial view photo of the park area, which can offer visitors suggestions for things to do. This is a pebble beach with driftwood big and small, all kinds of shapes. You will have fun to make your imagination run wild to see what to make.

This is a great park and hike with young children. Beach area is great and the trail easy and well marked with informative displays. Lots of driftwood .

I was expecting this to be like any other little bay to the south of this coast, but was pleasantly surprised at how underrated this place is. Very quiet when I was there, and unlike most other beaches I went to on the coast south of here, there was lots of wildlife here. A Great Blue Heron and two eagles entertained me for a long time, and I watched an eagle eating fish from the water 20 feet in front of me. Loved that you have the rocky beach side which is what you'd expect (but does get sandbars when tide goes out, and has an interesting enormous rock formation on left side), but then the opposite side is a marsh/lake that you can walk through little short clearings to view amidst the tall reeds/trees. The marsh I could see being a birders paradise, has a couple tree stumps where you can just sit there and observe the nature around you. It was clear to me that this is a beloved park by the locals, given the informative signage put up, including info about work of the "Sargeant Bay Society," the wildlife that frequent the area including beavers, and first nations medicinal uses of flowers there. Only downside is that on the walkway between the beach and there is a lot of ugly dead grass, maybe a side effect of the drought the province is currently in. I also did not explore any other areas of the park--just had too much fun sitting and communing with nature on the beach and marsh. A great place for those who like to slow down and just sit in nature. Did not like driving Redrooffs Road being unfamiliar with the area, and to get to Sargeant Bay you have to drive a bit down total gravel road so heads up for rental cars...

Lots of driftwood and scenic areas to take pictures. I havent seen or been aware of any picnic tables near by. The beach is all mostly rocks and pebbles.

We decided to check out Sargesnt Bay PP one evening. It’s pretty enough, but the ‘beach’ is all pebbles and driftwood with not many places to put up chairs, if you wanted to. Nice to walk around for an hour or so.

This is a lovely spot and never too crowded. It is a pebble beach and swimmers would be happy to have water shoes. The water is very clean. The view is beautiful! Don't forget to check out the trails on the opposite side of the highway. Great for 'forest bathing'! There's a pretty little waterfall and the trees keep it cool, even on the hottest days. Enjoy!
