We attended Mass here while visiting New Orleans. The beauty of this church is stunning. Wish we could have spent more time inside.

One doesn't have to be Catholic or a believer to experience the beauty and amazement of this beautiful house.
The history and architect of this building will make anyone and everyone a believer in the spiritual realm of our life.
If you only have time to visit one church or house of worship, this is then one!

Beautiful church located across from Jackson square. Very close to the French quarter and the River walk. We did not go inside as there were tons of people inside.

We went to daily Mass at this church, tucked into the edge of the French Quarter just on the other side of Canal Street - just across the street from the Roosevelt Hotel. Perfect way to start the day with the 7:30am daily mass during the week.

One of the oldest and most beautiful Cathedrals/Basilicas in the USA. Located in Jackson Square. May not be able to enter due to weddings and/or Mass in progress.

We happened upon this beautiful church across from our hotel. It was beautiful with very high ceilings and pictures and stained glass all over. They had some signs and a tourist guide so you can learn who the statues and pictures are.

Here is a good antidote to all the debauchery and craziness in New Orleans. This church, which is meticulously maintained, is only one block from the French Quarter, just west of Canal Street. Well worth the visit. If you go, make sure to check out the stained glass windows of Jesuit martyrs, especially two on the north side of the church in the middle of the church, St. Andrew Bobola and St. John de Britto,

Beautiful and a "must stop' to see. Watch out for changing Mass times and know you will have to pay to park.

Went to confession and mass. Good homily and the architecture is beautiful. Every time we have been they have wedding directly following.

An absolutely beautiful church. We visited on our own, and wish we could have taken a tour, though they're apparently only offered on Saturdays. Great brochure describing the church and its history. Right off Canal St. outside the French Qtr.

The church is open all day long. No admission. Across the street by the park there is always fee entertainment. A great location to visit.

What do the keys under the saints feet in the back of the church symbolize?

Traditionally crossed keys are associated with St Peter. Thet are also associated with Church authority, ie, a bishop or pope. It's been almost 6 months since my visit, I can't recall the stained glass window (?) to which you refer.
