L’ingresso alla pista di pattinaggio e l’affitto dei pattini è decisamente esoso, tranne che per i bambini, ma la spesa vale l’esperienza di pattinare in mezzo a Central Park con i grattacieli di sfondo. Consigliato!

Expensive skating session!

We booked to go ice skating before our trip, was easy to book.
We had booked for 7pm, but I had expected a better signposted / well-lit path in Central Park. Myself and daughter had to use google maps to find it!

I had noticed about an hour before we went that you had to sign a waiver, would be better if this was emailed out to anyone who has purchased tickets.

I had deliberately not taken a bag so we wouldn't need a locker, but they don't store your shoes when they give you your skates - you have to get a locker which cost $7!!

It wasn't busy and I had seen the ice cut schedule was 7.30pm but this didn't happen!

I fell and seriously hurt my shoulder (which I know is a risk) but no staff came to help me at all. As it continued to hurt I went to an office to ask if I could have an ice pack for my shoulder, I was taken to a room (right opposite where I fell ) where the girl said oh are you the lady that just fell over! She didn't even look at my shoulder, gave me some ice in a glove and some packets of ibruprofen. The next day I realised the expiry date on them was 07/23!!

Maybe not the best place to skate, but it was bigger than Bryant Park and not everywhere was open during our visit.

Pickle Ball was great

We stopped in during walk in Central Park. Pickle Ball was being played and the staff got us in on Community Play. It was a lot of fun. They also got us set up in a clinic. Staff was great.

STAFF ARE DISGUSTING!! Rude, nasty, miserable and clearly from the BAD side of NY! They looked like they hated the job and life in general 🤣 I will pray for you guys 🙏🏼
Anyway enough about the skanky crew….
Brilliant memory and had lots of fun while on the ice loads of fab pics and laughter ❄️⛸️💕

Best memory of our trip

This was our best memory from our holiday. This rink is better than the Rockefeller rink as it seems bigger and not as busy. We did however find the staff rude and they seemed more interested in having conversations between themselves than doing their jobs. The skates need new laces as they are hard to tie up as they are frayed. It did seem disorganised to get in as you had to fill in a waiver and the staff member just kept shouting to fill them in and then she didn’t even check them all anyway when she shouted that she had to see everyone’s. However we would definitely return to make more memories.

I went there Sunday march 12 with a couple of friends and as soon as I steeped to the front door me and my friends we were profiled by the security guard who looks like a Spanish dude , I ended up buying a ticket and couldn’t even get my refund for the ticket so we all left . That guy should get fired .

I was one day going to consider renting ice skates in the season to use this rink, but Anthony and his fellow employees refuse to let the public use the bathroom.

You're operating an ice rink in a public park operated and owned by the Central Park conservancy, not a museum. How hard is it to say yes to use what is 100% a public restroom. Gross violation of ADA law there which requires unrestricted access to all restrooms free of charge.

A favourite memory from my trip

We visited NYC in February and this was on my wish-list for my Birthday. I had been deciding between the Rockefeller or Wollman and was so pleased we chose this one - it is much bigger (the Rockefeller Rink looked tiny in comparison) and it is beautifully situated with the skyline behind. The boot hire side of things all worked well, as did using a locker for our belongings. It was lovely being out on the ice and I am in awe of those people
who can skate properly as it is not easy. A great memory from my NYC trip.

Not a very warm welcome!

So the concept is great, it’s such a pretty place and obviously a bucket list thing to do when you’re visiting NYC. However, the staff are as miserable as sin (apart from a lovely gentlemen that showed us where to go, and a lovely lady behind the kiosk that advised me about the frames for kids to hold onto). Honestly, the rest of the staff clearly don’t want to be there and are just miserable and rude. Myself and my husband took our 11 year old daughter. Only one of us was allowed to supervise her, so my husband had to sit outside and watch from a far (or pay an entrance fee even though he wasn’t skating). Lovely place to be, just spoiled by the atmosphere and blatant rip off prices.

We have been skating at Wollman rink for many years. We had the absolute worst experience this year. As much as it pains me to say this, this place was running far better under the Trump organization. Regardless of what time your ticket is for, the lines can be super long and you can have to wait over an hour just to get in. There is no limit to how long you can stay once you’re in. The check-in process is unnecessarily chaotic and you have to sign a dumb waiver while physically standing on line. This could easily be done online when you buy the ticket. The staff was rude. The skates are in horrible shape with frayed laces. It costs everyone $25 just to get in. This is regardless of if you are skating or just watching. The former reduced spectator fee is gone, so if you just want to watch your child skate, you’ll have to pay full price. The skate rental fee is $10. Worst of all is something new they have called Premier Pass which was supposed to be an upscale experience with warm beverages, etc. In reality, it is a pop-up tent with almost no amenities and staff that is either not there or is there hanging out with other staff members. This area costs $30 PLUS $25 admission even if you’re not skating. DO NOT BUY THIS. it is a blatant money grab. It is sad what new management has done to this place. Come here just to take pictures if you want but go elsewhere to skate! We won’t be coming back any time soon.
