We did the King Arthur escape room and it was amazing! Our game master Nana was very helpful, and she enthusiasticly guided us through the solutions we had the most trouble with after our game was done. It's nice to beat an escape room, but it's so much more fun when someone takes the extra time to explain things. We found the puzzle to be challenging in all the right ways and managed to finish successfully. This was our third and best escape room. Can't wait to return.

EscapeSF is a charming escape room location that tied together many interesting puzzles and elements. The experience itself was smooth but there was some polish lacking in the delivery. Overall, a solid escape room.

the escape room was underwhelming and definitely not worth the price. this is the escape from alcatraz room. the game master was to put it simply and kindly not great at all. she kept giving us clues without us asking for them and when we did ask she wasn’t there to respond. besides that the puzzles were not cognitively challenging, rather a bunch of busy work and trial and error.

First time I am going through an Escape Room experience. We picked 'Escape from Blind Tiger Bar' which was challenging for our group. But a lot of fun. We completed it with 19 seconds to spare. Grace was our hostess and she did a great job introducing the game and also with her generous hints :) - will definitely revisit. The puzzles were challenging and the set was done with a lot of thought to the storyline.

When we visited, we did the King Arthur’s Legacy room. Although the room was a quest, rather than an escape room, the same concepts were there. I found the room to be well-done, with interesting puzzles.

As someone who works at a tabletop gaming store, these escape rooms have a solid set of puzzles. This company designs their own props and, while you will find some of the common escape room tropes, there are a lot of original, creative ideas. Also, the people who work here were amazing! (Thanks again T!) We did the Heist, just my wife and I, and it was just perfectly difficult (though my wife may have had a trigger finger when it came to that clue button!)
Far better than any of the escape-rooms-in-a-box that you can get at your FLGS, and miles beyond any other escape room in the area, I 100% suggest that you try this out!

My husband and I just did an EscapeSF virtual game and were very impressed. They have someone drop off the case at our home at a specific time, and you get to work - with live virtual help if needed along the way. The puzzles to solve were challenging but ultimately doable (with some help needed on our part once in awhile!) & took probably just the right amount of time to make it feel worthwhile, but not too long. Shout out to Ron who was along with us on our journey, he knew just the right times to intervene & was a personable presence. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for an alternative to the stay-at-home night in!

The room was incredible. Really sets the mood for the entire game and makes you feel as if it could actually be Alcatraz! Love multi room experiences and had a blast here. The puzzles were not overly difficult and there weren’t too many. One of the best “easy” rated escape rooms. Most times, the easy ones are more like moderates.

If you like Italian food, I suggest Mangia Tutti Ristorante at 635 Clay St or Palio D'Asti 1/2 a block down on Sacramento. Also there is a nice milk tea place right across from EscapeSF.
