This hidden gem is a perfect place for an afternoon outdoors. The Mill property has many short walking trails that allows you to see natural landscape and wildlife. The tour is a true learning experience given by passionate professionals. The admission is by donation. This property is animal friendly as well, with dog waste stations available. The demonstration days are noted on their web page.

I like to bring my daughters here to talk on the different trails they have set up. They are short which is good for my 3 and 5 year old but they are also not paved or anything (just worn out grassy paths) so we only go when it's dry weather. Last time we went both girls came back with ticks so be careful if you do choose to walk the paths and either spray yourself with bug spray or check yourself when you get home.
We have never been there when the place was open for admissions, only for the walking trails but it was nice!

We visited with another family the day after Thanksgiving and the admission tours were not open. So we walked around the mill building, the miller’s house, and the spring house (pictures of each are attached). We also walked as far as we could on trails to/from the mill including to the mill pond (picture attached).
Signs at the road in front of the mill are also attached.
It was an overcast and dreary day today, but still pleasant to walk around the property.

We live down the street and pass this mill at least once a week. One day we were lucky enough to have a free afternoon and saw the mill was having a festival.
Authentic crafts, foods, even a homemade ice cream demonstration.
The guides tour though was our favorite. It included the colorful history of the previous owners and operators.
location also has farmers markets every now and then.

The Mill at Anselma is a working historical mill right on Route 401 about quarter mile North of route 401 and 113 intersection. It's great educational activities for all ages on a Sunday afternoon. I bought some corn flour from there it is much better quality then the store, very flavorful. Check their hours before you visit, occasionally they are closed for private event. It will be great to visit them on their demonstration day.

We live close by the Mill, it is most definitely a local treasure. Every few weeks or so, there is something happening at the Mill. To see an actual grain mill in action is pretty impressive, let alone a Mill that is centuries old. The folks who work there are helpful and pleasant to be around.
For those who would find Valley Forge, Hopewell Furnace and other parks of interest, this is a must see.

This is a rare wooden geared mill that is intract and quite educational. They make flour and a wonderful roasted cornmeal that I use to bake cornbread. Worth a few hours to tour the mill and mill race.

Our visit to this historic mill site was the highlight to our weekend jaunt through the area. The attitude level here is low-key, to be sure, but befits the site nicely. I'd suggest a leisurely stroll around the grounds in addition to the guided tour. (I prefer to have a look around BEFORE the tour, so that I can ask the docent to explain some of the stuff that I might have questions about. And he was indeed well-versed and knowledgeable.) Check their website in advance: they have interesting programs scheduled on some weekends.

The Mill is great...when they have tours, it is cool to see how wheat, corn, etc is ground up and turned into powder/flour. Also a great place to take the kids to see Santa!!
