Happisburgh is a lovely place to visit, a real shame all the houses are slowly falling into the sea. The lighthouse is beautiful and the walks around the area are nice. The beach is lovely for a nice walk.

We were here 20 years ago and the erosion is obvious over this time scale, the road we used previously had partly disappeared but there is a new car park and toilets with access to beach. we were mystified by the numerous safety signs including advise not to climb on the rocks, surely part of the fun of the seaside is clambering on the rocks???

It’s a beautiful place for a relaxing walk, either on top the cliff with the wheat/barley fields, or in the sandy beach, especially when the weather is nice.

What a lovely beach and I can't believe, living in Suffolk, I've never been there before. Apart from the stunning lighthouse the beach itself is beautiful. A mixture of sand and small stones backed by small cliffs. There is a small car park, loos and an ice cream van and that was it! No trashy amusements and the smell of greasy chips. Pure natural beach. Take your own chairs and a picnic. Bliss!

We were trying to find a dog friendly beach and wow! Gart Gap was ideal. We just don’t understand how quiet it was even in late July! We made the mistake the first visit of it being high tide…..so not much sand to access but checking tide times sorted this issue out. Great beach, very quiet and nice to swim too. Parking was never full and we even had a few hours watching the lifeboats just off shore.
Clean and tidy facilities and a cafe just a bit further up the road.

Sheer doggy heaven!

Very clean and tidy. Spotted several seals swimming past.

There is a lovely pale golden sandy beach here. The cliffs have collapsed in places, as is the norm along much of the East Coast. A new gravel ramp has been made, to provide access to the beach. This is protected by a barrier of large boulders. The slope is about 45 degrees. It is a great place for a walk and has a car park with toilets at the top of the cliff. Charges are £1.50 per hour. If you only want to stay for a short time; make sure you pay in cash, as using a card comes with a sting in the tail. It will cost you double!

A lovely stretch of beach but as every one will know by now this area of the Norfolk coast suffers badly from coastal erosion. Hang on to your kids and make them aware of the dangers by the cliff edge both at the top and the bottom, also keep them away from the edge as you walk down to the beach from the car park at the top. Being able to walk right up to the iconic Happisburgh light house is a real treat.

We decided to visit Happisburgh but didn't know what to expect. It was a beautiful beach with a great expanse of sand, backed by cliffs. The car park is relatively small ok in October but I suspect a nightmare in the summer.

Nice beach, no lifeguards has a great kiddies play ground, car park and super clean toilets, no other facilities but a short pleasant walk to the Hill house pub you can get great food n drinks, you can walk to the light house from the car park, there are a few picnic tables on the cliff next to the beach access, in the summer you need to arrive before 11am as the car park fills up very quickly, it’s very popular we saw seals on our last visit.
