The river was low but they let us go down in the inflatable double kayak. Greta guide. Excellent energy: It was so much fun.

We wanted to do something that was a little more adventurous while staying in Taos for a few days and this tour perfectly fit the bill. Christine, our guide for the afternoon float trip, was excellent. She made sure that we had all the necessary information for a safe journey on the river and provided us with a lot of history of the area and sights along the way. If you are visiting this area, I would not hesitate to use Far Flung Adventures for one of their tours.

Floated racecourse with Garrett in 1 of 2 boats. Early morning departure so we were first trip on the river. We had hoped to go earlier in the year with better water but was happy to see Far Flung was still offering floats. Easy to work with and a good time!

This was my first time on a river raft trip. I couldn't have chosen a better organization! The experience, from checking in to going down the river with our guide, Brian, was absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend FarFlung Adventures!

Beautiful scenery, fall was the perfect time for a first-time river rafting experience. The race course at this time of year was a perfect mix of smooth water and mild rapids.

I was visiting Taos for Michael Hearne 's Big Barn Dance and decided to drive out to The Gorge Bridge while waiting for my Air B&B check in. I remembered from a previous 2019 trip , Taos Box, that The Far Flung office was very close. I stopped in to investigate the possibilities of fitting a rafting trip into my stay. I decided on early 1/2 day Race Course trip. Even a low water levels the trip was fun, the scenery was beautiful. Our guides Brian and Chaz were efficient, thorough, and knowledgeable. My only complaint is the 1/2 day trip is too short to have the famous FFA riverside sandwich spread! I will return to Taos and you can bet I will get on the river with Far Flung!

The group was a perfect sizes. There were 9 of us decided in two boats. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly. The trip was so much fun. Mostly very calm water.

We booked a rafting trip with Far Flung Adventures. They were flexible with the schedule to accommodate our travel. Our guide Nick was very thorough with safety information, was well informed about history and other fun facts, and gave great instructions during the tour. It was a very fun trip and we’d absolutely do it again.

Hi we are thinking of staying in Taos the first week of April 2018. Will it be too cold for most of the activities?

Hi Carol, I apologize for such a delay. The weather in April is hard to predict. The temperature varies a good deal that time of year. I think the best thing to do would be to stay in touch with us and keep an eye on the weather patterns as the date approaches. Do you know what kind of activity or trip you are interested in?

Hi, thinking of traveling mid/late August to area. Have two kids 12 and 14, never rafted before but not shy with adventure. Good listeners. Want a little excitement but safe considering age of kids. suggestions? Thanks so much!

Hi Janet! Thanks so much for reaching out. Late August is going to be a great time to get out on the water. I would suggest you check out our website get some ideas of what we have to offer. As a starting point I would suggest Stand up paddle boarding or inflatable kayaking the Chama, Lower Gorge, or Middle Box. Aside from that, given the ages of your kids, you all would really enjoy a multi-day trip on the Chama. That is a great family friendly trip that will really get you all into the wilderness for an unforgettable vacation experience with the kiddos. We have two and three day options on that river.
