structure that has undergone a rather recent restoration but still retains original parts. It is a tank occupying about 20sqm and where the water is about 1m deep. Feeding is ensured by a hot spring located immediately upstream of it. Also through the usual thermal spring is fed the biolake and swimming pools of the structure with paid access that is located a few dozen meters upstream, near the sports field of the hamlet of Sasso Pisano. To access the washhouse there are two paths: the first that starts from the cemetery and is passable through a narrow steep road marked by holes and rolling stones, the second, undoubtedly easier, through a wooden walkway that winds with a beautiful path in the undergrowth, from the parking near the biolake mentioned above. In this case pay attention to the wooden boards of the walkway, in some places raised and dangerous. An iron ladder painted red was placed to enter the tank. On the bottom you can appreciate in any season a decent development of algae and, consequently, the floor is quite slippery. An iron pipe, clumsily resting on a metal sleeper hinged on the original part of the tub, namely the sliding stones once used as wash shelves, conveys thermal water inside the tub. The flow is very impetuous during the autumn season, much less in the summer season, also due to the diversion made to feed the pools and biolake mentioned above. Near the washhouse you can appreciate the presence of an old bridge that leads to the other side of a watercourse of temporary nature (dry in summer), the Botro della Troscia, and that connects to an ancient road that would lead to the Podere Il Pino. The tank is partially protected by a roof that covers at least 1/3 of the entire surface leaving the central area uncovered. Attendance in autumn is much more rewarding for many reasons but, in particular, for the assault really deadly and very difficult to counteract operated by a swarm of mosquitoes and horseradish that, despite every attempt, still leave their mark at the end of the experience. Obviously in autumn the pool is much less frequented and you have more easily the opportunity to enjoy the sincere and natural relaxation that the environment produces.
