I booked my daughter on a the “Meet the Birds” experience, and what a truely amazing experience it was!
I was expecting we would be part of a group but it turned out to be a one on one experience which seems like incredible value for money.
She had over an hour guided around the park getting to hold so many different birds. The member of staff guiding us was extremely knowledgeable and great with my daughter.
Then after a short break and cup of tea and cake she got to take part in the flying and feeding show, holding out food for the birds to land on her and eat.
An absolutely perfect day and core memories made

Having visited last summer 2021 and had a great time We bought a small bird experience for our 9yr old grandson for his birthday as he is an avid fan of all types of birds.
We were met by Matt who proceeded to bring out three different birds for our grandson to hold, Matt was a fountain of knowledge and very engaging our grandson couldn’t stop smiling so we knew he was enjoying the experience.
When it came to the flying display Elliott was the person talking about the various bird and we certainly learnt a lot in a short space of time.
Our grandson again had the opportunity to receive quite large birds onto his arm and he was delighted with it all
Matt and Elliott were both great and the whole experience was fun and educational.
I would definitely recommend The Raptor Foundation for both children and adults, the chance to see some of these spectacular birds flying is an experience everyone should have.
Thanks so much for the enjoyment they both gave to a happy little boy… many stories to be told when he’s back at school.

we had a meet the birds experience, and it was brilliant. It was informative and fun. The staff were amazing, as is the work done by the foundation.

I visited with my husband & Mum who both need to use mobility scooters [we took our own] . There were no problems getting around. My elderly mother is also deaf & severely sight impaired so she couldn't really see the birds in their aviaries but we expected that . However the flying displays more than made up for that. The staff were very obliging encouraging the birds up close to mum so that she could see them as well as was possible, she also enjoyed the sensory experience of them flying low around us. The cakes in the tea room are not to be missed! We had a lovely day there.

Just home from the best day at The Raptor Foundation. We purchased an Ultimate Experience. We were met by Courtney, one of the falconers, who introduced us to Grant the Harris Hawk and we all walked into the countryside for a few hours. We had plenty of occasions for Grant to land on our gloved hands and take food and we enjoyed watching him fly into the trees and bushes and were amused that everything was on his terms! We learnt loads - the experience is 1:1, so you’re not embarrassed to ask questions!
We went back to the centre, where a delicious hot lunch was waiting for us, nothing seemed to too much trouble. I am Coeliac and gluten-free food was available (including a delicious cake!).
After lunch we ‘flew’ owls, eagles and hawks and then handled a selection of native birds.
A great charity that supports raptors in need of a home. All the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you for such a great day!

Always have a lovely day when we visit the Raptor Foundation and today was no exception. Really enjoyed my experience day, getting up close and personal with the birds is always special. Thankyou everyone at the RC ,especially Elliot who went above and beyond to make my day different! And a big thanks to Steven for buying it for me for my birthday xxx

Amazing place to visit for any age group. The foundation do a wonderful job taking in so many injured birds and caring for them. We arrived in time for the midday flying display, what a fantastic hour spent watching different birds swoop around the spectators while listening to an extremely informative but very amusing talk by Elliot. Our grandsons enjoyed it so much that we stayed for the 2pm display too! There were many other talks and photo opportunities throughout the day and always someone available to answer questions. Would thoroughly recommend a visit at a very reasonable price.

A wonderful sunny bank holiday afternoon for all the family. Friendly knowledgeable staff during the flying display made it a really special time. Plenty of information on the birds cages. A small cafe on site for a drink or ice cream.

Really knowledgable staff, and a wide variety of birds. The talks/demos/displays were really interesting and humorous, and included some owls walking under the benches, and another owl being directed to sit on the bench right next to me and my 1 year old son, very magical!
Some of the birds were tethered to podiums, was great to be able to see them up close, but I wonder how enjoyable it is for them to be chained to a perch in the sun for a whole day…
Seems to be a very moral place, too. One of the staff members explained their process for having birds sent to them so they can save them, or take them from poor owners and nurse them back to health. They also explained that, as they’re a charity, all proceeds from admission go to the animals (legal reasons), whereas money from the cafe and accommodation go to paying the staff.
Offered vegan sausage rolls, or (vegan) jacket potato with beans for lunch. Also had vegan magnums, so had an okay choice for vegans.

We had a really enjoyable day here. The handlers were very knowledgeable and clearly genuinely cared about the birds. The events (bird displays and talks) were timed well so you didn't have to wait long between things. There was a kid's craft room, meerkats and reptile house as well as a cafe and gift shop. There's a playground for smaller children too but the emphasis is clearly on education and conservation

Our little boy had a Meet The Birds and as I recall he and one guest of his didn't have to pay admission too.
