Absolutely amazing time here park was relatively empty so we got in every ride only thing that let the park down was the rubbish floating around the park

My friend and I were in the area to dine at the Stubborn Mule. We were there on a Saturday night and of course had to wait about an hour for our table. We were able to walk to Thornton Park while we waited. We sat on a bench by the water and really enjoyed it! The area is beautiful and I can’t wait to hopefully come back to explore some more!

Hadn't been there in a while and decided to the the wine walk. We hit a few of the local bars and pubs, while enjoying Lake Eola and the atmosphere all around.

Had a really nice afternoon downtown, There are some great bars and eating places. Ideal for a little bar crawl and most bars have Happy Hour. So have yourself a merry little booze up.

I was impressed at how popular this park was. Just full of people strolling around, filling all of the benches. A little weird that there is piped in music. Lots of different areas and activities, nice landscaping,

This is a wonderful local old time area that is very close to Lake Eola and the down town seen. There are places to eat and lots of local bars. Try it at night.

We went to Thornton Park on a Friday day. It was a nice quaint place, but honestly nothing was really happening. I would think that if it was an evening, or during a event like a art show, or festival it would be really cool. Just plan your visit accordingly. On your average day nothing is really going on. Most places are bars, not a bad thing, just more of a evening thing.

If like me all you knew about Orlando previously was the highways and the big attractions (DisneyWorld, SeaWorld, PlasticButtonWorld...), you would probably be just as excited as I was to learn about Thornton Park, a suburban area with lovely homes, etc. I walked down Washington Avenue from Valhalla Bakery over to Lake Eola Park, stopping along the way at Graffiti Junktion for lunch, and it was a lovely walk.
