In Santa Barbara for the holidays with our grown kids. Needed something to do on a very rainy day so we decided to visit some wineries. This was our first stop and as we enjoyed the tasting so much, we bought a bottle and some munchies and enjoyed the covered patio, drinking great wine and listening to a talented singer. Made for a perfect afternoon!
Very tasty wines, nice people, good food, pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommend.

We arrived early, just after the 11 a.m. opening, for our wine tasting. Jenny was our server, and she was very helpful in explaining the wines that we tasted. This is a smaller winery and they were very willing to adjust the tasting to our preferences. We really enjoyed the 2019 Estate Viognier and the 2019 Stainless Steel Estate Viognier. For the reds, the 2019 "Camp 4" Sangiovese was our favorite. We purchased a bottle of each of these three wines.
Service was slow, but we attribute this to our early arrival (we were the first guests). There is ample indoor and outdoor seating, with well-spaced tables. Family friendly.

ワインは美味しいし、スタッフはフレンドリーでアドバイスもしてくれるし、フードメニューも美味しかったです。晴れた日の外でゆっくりワインを飲みながら、夫婦で素敵な時間を過ごせました。すごく静かで広々としているので、気分添加にももってこいのワイナリーで、またぜひ行きたいと思います：）ソルバング観光地の中心部からも車で10分もしないところで、立地も便利です。

What a wonderful vineyard. The wine is special. Especially their Pinot and grenache. And the white are wonderful too. The grounds are beautiful and the people are warm, kind and welcoming. It feels like a family.
Plan to spend 2x the amount of time you expect. To soak it all in. You will not want to leave!

Rideau is one of our favorite vineyards in the area. We love many of their varietals and have come back many times. Reza has always taken great care of us. However, with the new COVID restrictions, things have changed. We had a reservation which we arrived promptly for, and found a great table on the covered deck.
We were given a choice of wine flights which was great. But the entire wine flight was delivered in individual carafes all at once. They had to have been pre-poured and sitting on a counter waiting to go out. It was a 100 degree day, the whites were hot when they got to the table, and by the time we got to the reds they were really hot.
We purchased the wines that we know and love there, based on our past visits. If anyone from the winery actually reads this review, please visit some of the other local wineries and figure out a way to make the Rideau experience better. We will be back to purchase wine, but not to taste until the pandemic is over.
But THE WINES ARE FANTASTIC !!

Our new favorite central Cali vineyard. What to love: choice of flights, quality and wine selection, tasting presentation, gorgeous relaxing setting, excellent service staff, generous pours. Super fun experience.

What a spectacular place! The house/cottage is surrounded by flowers. There is a grassy lawn. You sit outside looking at the house and flowers. Although we had a reservation, we chose to sit in the overflow area, which requires the patron to go to the bar. This was amazing! Highly recommend this for ambiance and a pleasant experience.

Lovely setting in clearings surrounded by vineyards. We didn't have a reception on a weekday early afternoon - however they still let us in before the apparent mad rush at 1P. Didn't realize reservations are the thing out here as we were expecting a more relaxing setting however welcome to the over-populated Southern California! Regardless, we were made to feel welcomed and both enjoyed a flight of their finest wine varieties. We opted for the Signature Flight which was really delicious while tasing six variety. They offered a small French based food menu as well which seemed tasty. While we were there they were offering three outdoor seating areas, two of which were covered with a tent. Surprisingly there were a number of young kids that were uncontrollably running around the property screaming and ruining the experience - the barking dogs (barking at the kids) didn't add much as well. Once they left with their drinking mom's day out, the setting become really special and serene. The wine was quite good as well - well worth a visit off the beaten path.

I love me some wine! Rideau has great reviews so I thought I would try it for myself. Just a short 9min drive outside of the main little town, the entrance is a beautiful long driveway of scenic vineyards. It was easy to make a reservation online and even when I had a few questions, they were quick to respond via email so I appreciate that! Meg was the server and she was quite friendly, knowledgeable, and minded the social distancing of the world we’re living in as of right now. The outdoor sitting area was truly relaxing, spaced out so nicely, and I was able to walk the property admiring the ripening grapes. The charcuterie board and mushroom, artichoke, olive pizza was delicious. I would highly recommend this for a stop while in Solvang.

Beautiful grounds and delicious wines. Great service but Risa (Might be miss-spelled) refused to give me his hat. LOL!!! Really nice place. Super relaxing. Everything you want from a winery.

Hello, is it acceptable to bring an 11 and 9 year old to this vineyard? If so, would the tour be appropriate? I believe they'd enjoy the beauty of the grounds. They are accostumed to travel and touring museums etc. Thank you.

Yes, this place is very family friendly. However, you should probably call them to ask about children on the tour.
