Absolutely beautiful venue. Exceptional place to have an intimate experience with performers. Acoustic system on point without taking away from the charm of this theater. Seats very comfortable. Very nicely refurbished and clean.

Went to see Robert Cray. Venue was very nice. Parking was easy. Rent a cops were a joke. Show wasn't as good as past shows.

Attended a concert here recently. Unfortunately, they have chosen to employ 'security officers' at each inner doorway dressed like a SWAT team, making the whole environment not only uncomfortable for enjoying music, but a little 'chilling.'
When I inquired about it a week later with the manager(?) Erica Simpson, she was not only dissmissive of my feelings but incredibly rude and insulting toward me for no reason at all.
I think George Altamura needs to rethink who he hires. Rude women like this give him a bad reputation.

Saw Justin Hayward there, theatre was about 3/4 ( approx 800 capacity)
Acoustically mellow and non reflective, close up a d personal with the artist.
Nice ambiance and good bar service. Only comment re organisation was the guy roaming the audience all night telling people to turn off their phone’s video recorders.
It might have been more effective if they had announced the apparent ban before the programme started rather than interrupting others while crawling along rows to get the offenders to desist

Wonderful concert by Mr. McDonald !! Saw him in 2017 in Lincoln, Ca and again 2019 , he puts on a wonderful show. I have been a big fan since the 70's
This is a long story , please read, because this could happen to you.( thank you )
Napa , is a nice area, fun shops , nice restaurant `s too.
UPTOWN THEATRE.
However the ticket gal that scans tickets, was very rude, nasty, , old enough to know better, treat people with kindness.
I bought 2 tickets from TicketMaster , in January of 2019 for the show on April 18th 2019.
I paid a lot for the tickets, to much.. ok lesson learned.
Didn't know i bought threw third party ? Had no idea ? ( FOUND OUT THAT NIGHT. )
So now its April , so excited to see him and be back in Napa.
My uncle and i arrive , printed tickets in hand, they scan tickets, oops only one is able to be read, ok you have to go to the ticket counter. No problem, i explain to the young gal, i bought tickets through Ticketmaster, paid a lot for them... she scans them , again a problem ?
Ok, i do not understand ? ( young gal was very nice.)
next thing i hear is a gal behind me ,in her 60's she has a scan device in her hand,
long shoulder length hair says " you were stupid ! , " you should have came here to buy tickets, they could be counterfeit! " WOW....i explained i live 3 and half hours away and i bought the tickets from Ticketmaster in January.
Next thing she scans them again, now working, BUT ! SHE SAYS ," LOUD IN FRONT OF PEOPLE, ( doesn't take us aside. ) IF THESE ARE COUNTERFEIT ? ," YOU WILL HAVE TO LEAVE AND GO OUTSIDE, BECAUSE THE REAL PEOPLE PAID FOR THEM ? " WOW , OH MY,
UNBELIEVABLE ? I WAS SO EMBARRASSED , WE ARE SHOCKED THAT SOMEONE WOULD SPEAK TO US THIS WAY ? I AM ALMOST 60 YEARS OLD, MY UNCLE IS IN HIS 70's.
YOU TREAT PEOPLE THIS WAY ! ( my uncle was so embrassed .) It was bad...!!
I WAS NOT RUDE NOR DID I YELL OR MAKE A SEEN . I WAS IN SHOCK !!
So, we enjoy the concert with one eye on theater guides !
Nice evening except for that experience.
I decieded to call the manager to explain how this was handled, boy was i wrong !!
I spoke to a gal named ( Erica ) i explained the situation , thinking i would get a i am sorry this happened, thank you for bringing this to my attention!
Holy you know what ? , she was condescending, said, " i should have been more aware of counterfeit ? , that they get busy, lots of people etc... "wow you are in bussiness dealing with the public !! And you treat people like this .. It was not about the money ? It was about how rude they were to us, how this was handled ? ( when looking on their site, Uptown Theater, has nothing on counterfeit tickets ? ) So be aware !!! Make sure they are the really thing.
I however will never go back , to Uptown Theater. I will never ever be that embrassed again nor be treated like a criminal ! You have lost a great customer, and someone who grew up in the area !

Just attended the musical performance of The Irish Rovers at the Uptown Theater. This is a beautifully maintained old theater. This was the first time I had been in this theater and I was pleasantly surprised. There were NO BAD SEATS in the entire theater. We were sitting in the upper portion of the theater in the middle. The leg room between you and the seat in front of you decreases as you move higher into the theater, but it wasn't cramped like an airline seat. The acoustics were good, and the visibility was great. The bathrooms are modern and the lines (in the ladies room) moved quickly. There was also a concession stand for beer, wine and other drinks. Entry was easy, but there was security and my purse was checked. No outside water bottles allowed. No problem at all. We parked close by on a surface street with only a short walk to the theater. This was a delightful venue for a fun evening of music. We will be back!

Beautiful theater with history. Great staff, relatively comfortable seats and unobtrusive security. Having to wait a half hour for the show to start without explanation or apology kept it from a perfect review. Plenty of free parking in the vicinity. Go early, park on the street, grab a bite at one of the many restaurants, and enjoy the show.

Easy parking in the neighborhood area. Comfortable seats, good viewing even from balcony. Many eateries in the area as well.

Just saw Lyle Lovett at the Uptown. An intimate historic theater in downtown Napa. No balcony but all the seats are good. Pretty good acoustic design. Close proximity to many great restaurants!!!
